The optional end covers are designed to “close” the vertical space on both the com-
bustion chamber end and the exhaust heat exchanger end of the reector length. End
covers may be attached before the reectors are installed or may be added to an exist-
ing installation.

IMPORTANT: If the
optional reector
end covers are being
added to a system that
is already installed,
turn off the gas and
the electrical power.
Allow the system to
cool before installing
reector end covers.
1. Position the reector end cover over the end of the reector that will cover the
combustion chamber tube. (See FIGURE 2.) Using the end cover as a template,
mark the hole locations on the reector.
2. Remove the end cover and carefully drill four 7/32” holes in the reector.
3. Re-position the end cover and fasten to the reector with four screws and nuts
from the option package.
4. Repeat the process to install the cover at the exhaust end of the reector.
If the system is already installed, turn on the gas and the electric and check for proper
operation. If the system is being installed, continue with the instructions in the heater
installation manual.
