CURT 45048 is a 2 1/2 inch receiver tube extension that can be used to extend the length of your vehicle's receiver hitch. It has a gross load capacity of 6,000 lbs when used as a weight carrying hitch at 34 inches, and 8,000 lbs at 24 inches. It also has a trailer weight capacity of 600 lbs at 34 inches, and 800 lbs at 24 inches. The receiver tube extension comes with a 5/8" hitch pin and clip, and it can be installed in just a few minutes. It is important to note that you should not exceed your vehicle's recommended towing capacity when using this product.

HACK SAW

1. Trim receiver tube extension at dotted line on sticker if used at 24".

2. Slide receiver tube extension into 2 1/2" receiver tube, install hitch pin and clip as shown. Attach safety

chain from vehicle to receiver tube extension safety chain loop.

3. Place desired ballmount in end of receiver tube extension and install hitch pin and clip.

4. Attach trailer to ballmount along with the trailers safety chains to receiver tube extension chain plate,

and plug in trailer lights. (NOTE: Trailer lights may require wire extensions.)
