Univox HDA-2M D/A Converter is a device that enables you to connect your audio equipment with loop amplifier, wireless headset, or neckloop that does not have a digital input. The package includes an optical cable to connect the converter to your TV's Toslink/Optical Output and an audio cable to connect the converter to the input of your loop amplifier/transmitter. Once connected, the converter will take the digital audio signal from your TV and convert it into an analog signal that can be used by your loop amplifier/transmitter.

Please read this user guide carefully before installation and use of this product.
A digital to analog converter is a product that converts digital audio signals into
analog audio. It can be used if you have a loop amplier, wireless headset or
neckloop that does not have a digital input.
First, check that your audio equipment works properly and then turn it off before
installation.
The package contains
HDA-2M digial to analog converter (1.)
Optical cable (2.)
Power adaptor (3.)
In some product packages there is also an audio cable included.

Overview
1. Remove the plastic cover from the
connectors on the optical cable.
Picture shows the
connectors when the
covers are removed.
2. Connect to Toslink input on the connector and to the TV. Use the Toslink/
Optical Output on the TV.

Connect the converter to the mains power
1. Connect the power adaptor to the DC/5V on the connector and to the mains
power.
2. Connect the power adaptor of the loop amplier/transmitter to the mains
power.

Audio cable
Connect the converter to the loop amplifier (or the
transmitter of the wireless headset/neckloop)
Use the audio cable that was delivered with the loop amplier/transmitter or
was included with the connector.
1. Connect the red and white connector to the converter (R/L)
2. Connect to the input (3.5 mm) to the amplier/transmitter. The input is
marked IN or AUDIO IN.

Security/warranty
Please note that the warranty is not valid for any damage or defects on the
product due to incorrect or incautious installation or usage or maintenance.
Do not use any other power adaptor than the one supplied with this product.
Bo Edin AB is not responsible for interference from radio or TV equipment, or
damage caused by the product to any property or liable for the consequences of
such damages.
Maintenance and care
Under normal circumstances the product does not need any special
maintenance. Handle the product with care to extend its function and
performance.
Do not install the product where it is exposed to strong sunlight, radiators or
other heat sources, rain, water or moist environments.
Should the unit become dirty, wipe it with a clean damp (not wet!) cloth. Do
not use solvent or strong detergents.
Troubleshooting
Make sure all connections are connected according to this user guide. You can
try to remove them and connect them again.

Should the product not work after having made the test as described above,
please contact the local distributor of the product for further instructions. If the
product should be sent to Bo Edin AB, please enclose a lled Service Form
(pdf), www.univox.eu/documents.
