OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
DC Battery Supply
Open the battery compartment and insert as indicated in the compartment two batteries, type
LR03, or AAA batteries.
Radio
1. Select the wave band using RADIO BAND SELECTOR.
2. Adjust the sound with the controls VOLUME.
3. You may connect stereo headphones with a 3.5mm jack. Plug in the earphone jack to the
socket PHONES. The speaker will automatically stop to work.
4. Tune to a radio station using the TUNING knob.
To improve reception:
- For FM, pull out the telescopic aerial antenna. To improve the FM Reception, incline and turn
the aerial, reduce its length if the FM-signal is too strong (very close to a transmitter).
- For AM, the unit is provided with a built-in aerial, so there is no need to use the telescopic aerial.
Rotate the unit to find the best position.
CLEANING
Clean the cabinet with a soft cloth moistened with water or mild detergent. Do not use solvents
such as alcohol, benzene or thinner, as they may damage the cabinet finish. Make sure to
disconnect the mains lead from the supply before cleaning.

PRECAUTIONS
1. For DC operation, simply insert two "AAA" batteries for unit operation.
2. Do not leave the batteries in the compartment for a long time. Remove the batteries to avoid
leakage and damage.
3. Do not expose the unit to extreme temperature nor high humidity to ensure normal functioning
for a long lifetime.
For instances, never place the unit in bathing areas nor around stoves and radiators.
4. If you find the unit is not working properly, please take it to your nearest services center. Do
not attempt to repair by yourself.

To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.
To avoid electrical shock, do not open the cabinet, refer to service agent or qualified engineer
only.
