MRU Instruments AMPROplus, OPTIMA 7 Biogas User manual

  • Hello! I've reviewed the user manual for the MRU OPTIMA 7 and AMPRO 2000 analyzers. This document provides crucial information for device maintenance, such as running the pump after each measurement and cleaning the condensate separator, as well as cleaning of sample lines and sensor protection. I am ready to answer any questions you may have regarding the care and optimal use of these analyzers.
  • How long should I run the analyzer pump with ambient air after each measurement?
What should I do with the condensate separator after each measurement?
Can the pleated filter be washed?
What can I use to clean the sampling line?
What must be avoided when using the analyzer?

Let your analyzer pump run at ambient air
for at least 3 minutes after each
measurement!
This will ensure that the gas channels and
sensors are free of gas.
Clean and empty the condensate separator
after each measurement!
Condensate is slightly acidic, you dont want
this condensate to stay in the analyzer over
time.
This can damage parts of the analyzer!

Replace the pleated filter (10155) regularly!
These filters are washable (washing machine)
and reusable once they are dry.
If replaced too late, dirt will eventually make
its way into the analyzer!
IMPORTANT!!
Disconnect the hoses from the analyzer.
Clean and empty the sampling line with
compressed air!
Remove the probe tube from the probe
handle then use compressed air to clean the
hoses.

Clean the probe tube both inside and
outside!
Clean the probe tube with compressed air (A)
Use sanding paper to clean the probe tune
(C)
Make sure that you dont damage the
thermo-couple!
Apply grease to the two O-Rings (B)
NEVER operate the analyzer inside the case!
The gas exits are blocked, and the sensors
will get damaged and have a very short life
span.
Also, the condensate separator has its best
effect when operated upright!

Use the CO sensor protection as much as
possible!
You might damage the CO sensor by
changing the CO threshold to higher limits.
The standard CO threshold setting is at
500ppm!
