Data Protecon
During the use of device, personal data will be collected, stored and processed. To protect data,
the development of Hikvision devices incorporates privacy by design principles. For example, for
device with facial recognion features, biometrics data is stored in your device with encrypon
method; for ngerprint device, only ngerprint template will be saved, which is impossible to
reconstruct a ngerprint image.
As data controller, you are advised to collect, store, process and transfer data in accordance with
the applicable data protecon laws and regulaons, including without limitaon, conducng
security controls to safeguard personal data, such as, implemenng reasonable administrave and
physical security controls, conduct periodic reviews and assessments of the eecveness of your
security controls.

Chapter 4 Installaon
Note
Make sure the device in the package is in good condion and all the assembly parts are included.
Sub module must work along with the main unit.
Set the sub module address before start the installaon steps.
Make sure the place for surface mounng is at.
Make sure all the related equipment is power-o during the installaon.
Tools that you need to prepare for installaon:
Drill (ø6), cross screwdriver (PH1*150 mm), and gradienter.
4.1 Congure Alarm In Module Address
You need to set the alarm in module address via DIP switch before installaon.
Steps
1. Remove the rubber cover to expose the DIP switch.

2. Set the address for each alarm in module according to the DIP rules, and install the rubber cover
back.
Note
Valid sub module address is from 1 to 8. Each address is a binary code and should be unique
for connecng to the main unit.
The address and its corresponding switch status are displayed as below. Up to 20 alarm in
modules can be cascaded and here takes 8 module addresses for example.

Note
Up to 20 alarm in modules can be cascaded.
Make sure the indoor staons are acvated and linked to the door staon.
Set address for each alarm in module. For details, see Congure Alarm In Module Address .

Chapter 5 Acvaon
5.1 Acvate Device via Client Soware
You can only congure and operate the door staon aer creang a password for the device
acvaon.
Default parameters of door staon are as follows:
Default IP Address: 192.0.0.65.
Default Port No.: 8000.
Default User Name: admin.
Steps
1. Run the client soware, click Maintenance and Management → Device Management → Device
to enter the page.
2. Click Online Device.
3. Select an inacvated device and click Acvate.
4. Create a password, and conrm the password.
Note
We highly recommend you to create a strong password of your own choosing (using a minimum
of 8 characters, including at least three kinds of following categories: upper case leers, lower
case leers, numbers, and special characters) in order to increase the security of your product.
And we recommend you change your password regularly, especially in the high security system,
changing the password monthly or weekly can beer protect your product.
5. Click OK to acvate the device.
Note
When the device is not acvated, the basic operaon and remote operaon of device cannot
be performed.
You can hold the Ctrl or Shi key to select mulple devices in the online devices, and click the
Acvate buon to acvate devices in batch.
5.2 Edit Network Parameters
To operate and congure the device via LAN (Local Area Network), you need connect the device in
the same subnet with your PC. You can edit network parameters via iVMS-4200 client soware.
Steps
1. Select an online acvated device and click the Modify Nenfo.
2. Edit the device IP address and gateway address to the same subnet with your computer.
3. Enter the password and click OK to save the network parameters modicaon.

Note
The default port No. is 8000.
The default IP address of the door staon is 192.0.0.65.
Aer eding the network parameters of device, you should add the devices to the device list
again.
