SAFETY
Operate the appliance in dry rooms only.
Do not operate under wall-mounted
kitchen cabinets and do not cover the
appliance.
Do not use outdoors.
Take care that the cord does not come
into contact with the appliance when it
is hot.
Do not place or operate the toaster on hot
surfaces or near an open gas flame.
The metal enclosure of the toaster is hot
when the toaster is in operation. Do not
touch!
Allow the toaster to cool before putting
it away.
Do not insert your fingers or any objects
(e.g. fork or knife) into the toasting slot
while the toaster is plugged in
In the event that a slice of bread is trapped
inside the toaster, remove the plug from
the socket and allow the toaster to cool
down. Push the slide switch down and
carefully loosen the slice of bread,
taking care not to damage the heating
elements. Never use a metal object for
this purpose.
Bread can catch fire. Therefore, the
toaster must never be used close to
curtains or other ignitable materials or
objects. Always keep an eye on your
toaster while operating.
OPERATION
Toasting bread
Plug the toaster into the mains
socket.
Place 1 or 2 slices of bread to be
toasted into the toasting slot.
Set the desired degree of
browning using the control dial.
Note: 1 is the lowest setting and 7 is the
highest setting.We recommend the middle
setting.
A low setting (1-3) should be selected for
light toast; small slices; dry bread.
A high setting (4-7)should be selected for
dark toast; larger slices; fresh/frozen bread.
To turn on the toaster, press the slide
switch downwards as far as possible.
Power light turns ON.
The toaster switches off automatically
when the desired degree of browness
has been reached. The slices of bread
pop up automatically so that they can
be taken from the toaster. Power light
turns OFF.
(Note: The LED light goes off if you have
pressed the defrost button or reheat
button . See below for details.)
EXTRA FEATURES -
Defrost
Press the defrost button to achieve
the required toasting result when using
frozen bread. (This will give extra
toasting time). The LED light next to
the button will turn on.
Reheat
Press the reheat button to reheat
your toast if it has cooled down - the
LED next to the button will light.
Note:This will give approximately 30
seconds to heat up your toast overiding the
setting the browning dial is set to.)
Bun warmer
To heat rolls with your bun warmer
position the bun warmer on top of
the toasting slot and place the
rolls on it.
Warning: do not place the rolls directly
on the toasting slot as this could lead
to overheating of the toaster. Set
the browning dial from 1-3 and
press the slide switch down.

CLEANING AND CARE
Remove the plug from the socket
before cleaning the toaster.
Do not immerse the appliance in
water. Allow the toaster to cool
before opening the crumb tray.
The crumb tray can be removed
at the back by pulling it out with
the handle.
Remaining crumbs will fall through the
toaster when it is shaken.
Replace the crumb tray after emptying it.
Do not insert any object or cloths into the
toaster whilst cleaning. Wipe clean with
a damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive cloths, harsh
cleaners or solvents as they may
damage or scratch your appliance.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARD
Do not use the appliance if:
The cord is defective
Signs of damage are visible
The appliance has been dropped.
In this case you must take the
appliance to a specialist to have it
checked and/or repaired.
Disconnect the appliance:
If malfunction occurs during use
Before cleaning
If bread gets stuck
When not in use
Never remove the plug from the socket
by pulling on the cord.
Never immerse the appliance in water and
keep away from sources of water.
Protect the electrical cord from moisture.
Children do not understand that
electrical appliances can be dangerous.
Never let them handle the appliance
without supervision and keep the supply
cord away from the edge of your worktop.
