Instructions
STEP 1
• Remove the threaded union collar from each end of the
check valve (Ex. 1).
STEP 2
• Install the threaded collar and selected adapter fitting on the
pump (Ex. 2).
STEP 3
• Install the threaded collar and selected adapter fitting to the
bulkhead fitting on the inside of the filter or glue to PVC pipe
using PVC cement in filters with pass-through plumbing
ports (Ex. 3).
STEP 4
• Attach the threaded collars to both the inlet and outlet
unions of the check valve to complete the check valve
assembly (Ex. 4).
Winterization
When winterizing your pump, we recommend removing the
check valve with the pump and storing both in a frost-free
location to prevent any freeze damage to the check valve
or plumbing. One-Year Limited Warranty does not cover
damage resulting from lack of reasonable maintenance or
care.
Extend the Height
When installing the Dual Union Check Valve 2.0 in a taller
filter, a height extension may be necessary. This can be
easily accomplished by cutting a section of 2" PVC pipe
to the required length and gluing it into the fittings using
PVC cement. When installing the Dual Union Check Valve
2.0 in a Pondless
®
Waterfall Vault (#49000) with one or
more Pondless
®
Waterfall Vault Extensions (#49001), each
extension will require the addition of a 7" section of PVC pipe.
