use cold, fresh tap water.
1. Open the top lid and fill the water tank with

2. Place the permanent filter into the filter support.
Make sure it is assembled correctly; otherwise, the

of coffee powder, but you may adjust according to
personal taste.
!
4. Insert the carafe with closed lid onto the
warming plate, horizontally.
5. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
6. To increase the coffee strength, press

DELAY FUNCTION
"Delay Brew" lets users program the appliance to automatically brew
coffee at a later time within a 24-hour period. This is a helpful feature for
people who, for example, don't have time to prepare coffee and wait for it
to brew in the morning.
Let’s say you would like to brew your coffee at 8:10 AM the next morning.
To set up delay-brew, follow these steps:
Step 1
Set the clock on the coffee maker to the
current time by separately holding the "HOUR"
button and "MINUTE" buttons until the num-
bers change to the correct hour and minute. If
the time is PM, the clock will show a "PM"
symbol.
Note: The time cycle is 12 hours.
9. Once the brewing is completed, if you do not
want to serve immediately, coffee can be kept
warm in the carafe on the warming plate. The
appliance will shut off automatically after two
hours unless you manually turn it off by press-
ing the ON/OFF button.
NOTE: The coffee you get will be less than the
water you have added, as some water is
absorbed by the coffee grounds. For an
optimum coffee taste, serve it just after brew-
ing. Be careful while pouring the hot coffee to
avoid any mishap.
10. Always turn the coffee maker off and
disconnect the power supply when not in use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION: Make sure to unplug the appliance before cleaning. To protect against
electrical shock, do not submerge cord, plug, or unit in water or liquid. After each
use, make sure that the plug is removed from the wall outlet.
1. Clean all detachable parts after each use in warm soapy water.
2. Wipe the exterior surface of the unit with a soft, damp cloth to remove stains.
3. Water droplets may buildup in the above area of the funnel and drip onto the
product base during brewing. To control the dripping, wipe off the area with a
clean, dry cloth after each use.
4. Use a damp cloth to gently wipe the warming plate. Never use an abrasive
cleaner to clean it.
5. Keep your coffee maker in a dry and cool place.
To keep your coffee maker working efficiently, make sure to periodically clean
the mineral deposits. Mineral deposit buildup is directly caused by water quality
in your area. We recommend removing mineral deposits as follows:
1. Fill the tank with water and descaler, such as vinegar, to the MAXIMUM level
as indicated on water gauge (the ratio of water and descaler is 4:1). You may
also use citric acid instead of the descaler (100ml of water to 3ml of citric
acid).
2 Place the coffee cup under the brew basket.
3. Make sure the funnel assembly is in place.
4. Press the ON/OFF button once and allow it to “brew” the de-scaling solution.
5. After the brew is done, empty the cup and switch off the appliance.
6. Leave the solution as-is for 15 minutes and repeat steps 3-5 until the water
tank is completely empty.
7. Rinse the appliance with water at least three times.
REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS
TIPS FOR GREAT-TASTING COFFEE
1. A clean coffee maker is essential for making great-tasting coffee.
Regularly clean the coffee maker as specified in the “CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE” section. Always use fresh, cold water in the coffee
maker.
2. Store the coffee powder in a cool, dry place. After opening a package
of coffee powder, reseal it tightly and store it in a refrigerator to maintain
its freshness.
3. For an optimum coffee taste, buy whole coffee beans and finely grind
them just before brewing.
4. Do not reuse coffee powder since this will significantly reduce the
flavor. Reheating coffee is not recommended because coffee is at its
ultimate flavor right after brewing.
