When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be

rating label of the coffee maker.

7. The use of accessory not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may

9. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter or touch hot

10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

12. Do not clean container with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive
material.
13. To disconnect, turn off the unit and then remove the plug from the wall
outlet. Always hold the plug while removing it and never pull the cord.
14. Scalding may occur if the cover is removed during the brewing cycles. Be
careful not to get burned by the steam.
15. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles and knobs.
16. Never leave the empty carafe on the warming plate; otherwise, the carafe
might crack. Use carefully as the carafe is very fragile.
17. Snap lid securely onto the carafe before serving any beverages.
18. Do not set a hot container on a hot or cold surface.
19. Do not operate the coffee maker without water.
20. Do not use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks, damage, or
has a loose weakened handle.
21. To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not remove the cover. Repair
should be done by authorized service personnel only.
22. The container/carafe is designed for use with this appliance. It must never
be used on a range top.
23. Avoid contact with moving parts.
24. Always fill the water reservoir first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To
disconnect, turn off the unit and then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
25. This appliance is intended for household use only.
26. Do not use outdoors.

NOTE: Your Coffee Maker has a two prong plug. To reduce the risk of electrical
shock, this plug will fit in an outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit in the

A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risks resulting from becom-
ing entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Do not use an extension cord. If
the power supply cord is too short, have a qualified electrician or servicemen
install an outlet near the appliance.
