Safety instructions
Energy saving
Your dryer was designed exclusively for domestic use, to dry machine-dryable
fabrics.
Spin your washing at high speed, which
will reduce residual humidity and energy
consumption too. Synthetic fabrics should
also be spun before drying.
Load your machine to maximum for
optimal use of energy. To do this, use the
recommended volumes indicated in this
booklet.
High ambient temperatures and small
rooms increase drying times and electricity
consumption.
•Make sure that the ventilation grill on the
front of the machine is always clean and
free of obstacles.
The following instructions must be
strictly complied with. We decline all
responsibility and will terminate any
guarantee if these recommendations are
ignored, which may cause damage to
persons or property.
Use your machine as indicated in this
manual; this will avoid damage to persons
and washing. Don’t use solvents inside the
dryer (danger of fire and explosion)
Stain removal products. All preliminary
treatment with solvents, stain removers
and aerosols is strictly forbidden as they
are highly inflammable products. If items
require such treatment, it should be carried
out before washing. We also advise you
not to use such products near your dryer
or other electrical appliances in general in
poorly ventilated areas, in order to avoid
the risk of explosion.
Scrupulously follow the drying instructions
on the labels on your washing.
If you have to open the door of the drum
during a drying cycle, be careful not to
touch the drum immediately, as it will be
very hot.
In the case of anomalies that you can’t
eliminate by following the instructions in
section “What to do if…”, contact a
qualified professional.
Don’t allow children to play with the
machine and keep pets away from it.
Before disposing of your dryer render it
unusable. Disconnect and cut the power
cable at its entry to the machine. Put the
door handle out of use.
Think of the environment. Ask your dealer
or local authorities about procedures for
scrapping used dryers.
If you want to change the power cable,
contact a qualified professional.
Don’t touch the back panel of the dryer
while it’s working, as it may be very hot.

Installation area (A):
Your dryer emits heat. If you put it next
to another appliance or item of
furniture, we recommend leaving space
between the two for air to circulate (A).
We strongly advise against:
- installing your dryer on a carpeted floor.
If you can’t avoid doing so, take the
necessary steps to ensure adequate
circulation of air under the base.
- installing your dryer where it may be
exposed to splashes of water;
- installing your dryer in a small closed room
(if this is the case, open a door or window
during the drying cycle);
- installing your dryer in an inadequately
ventilated room; ambient temperature
should be under 35° C during drying.
Levelling (B):
Use a level to check the floor is horizontal.
The maximum allowed inclination is 1.5° (ie.
about 1 cm with respect to the width and
depth of the dryer).
Your dryer has four adjustable feet (B).
To adjust level and stability:
- tip slightly backwards;
- use a wrench or pair of pliers to screw or
unscrew, depending on the floor, one or
more of the feet to adjust height (B);
- put the dryer back on four feet and check
stability.

Building in – Reversing the door
Your dryer can be recessed. See the drawing
below (A) for recess dimensions.
•For safety reasons, a metal top must
be applied to the top of your dryer.
You can obtain one from your dealer.
Make sure the dryer is unplugged
before carrying out the following
operations.
Proceed as follows:
- unscrew and remove the screws on the
rear of the work top;
- push the work top back till it stops;
- lift the work top off;
- unscrew and remove the plastic pins (1)
on the side walls of the dryer and remove
the tie-rods (2);
- fit on the metal top (3) which ensures
protection in the case of accidental contact
with live parts;
- position the dryer in its recess, aligning
it with the adjacent units and making sure
it is completely underneath the work top.

Column installation (A):
Your dryer can be easily stacked on top of
a front-loading washing machine.
This requires a stacking kit (frame and
suction pads) available from your dealer.
Don’t forget to adjust the feet during
installation.
Power supply, (B):
Electrical connection must be to NF C15-
100, especially regarding the earthing
system.
Line: 3 x 2.5 mm
2
, 230 V, connecting to:
-a meter: 20 A, 230 V – 50 Hz;
-a differential circuit breaker and individual
16 A fuse;
-a power outlet: 16 A, 2-pole + earth.
Tips on electrical connection of your
appliance:
Contact a qualified professional for
replacement of the power cable.
The dryer’s technical characteristics data are
on the serial number plate on the back of
the machine.
- the power outlet must be easily accessible
but out of reach of children;
- don’t use extensions, adaptors or multiple
sockets;
- never disconnect the earth system.
We cannot be held responsible for any
accident caused by improper electrical
installation.
If in doubt, contact your installer.

Laundry preparation
Don’t dry the following in your dryer:
-plasticized fabrics;
-chloro-fibres (eg. Termolactyl*)
* registered trademark;
-garments containing plastic foam, rubber
or reinforcements that might become
detached;
-bulky items (duvets, quilts, etc.);
-laundry that hasn’t been spun;
-laundry that’s been cleaned with inflam-
mable chemical products.

Do not tumble dry
Check the state of your fabrics:
If, after washing and before putting the
laundry in the dryer, you notice stains, don’t
dry the stained items, because stains that
are then ironed or dried in a dryer usually
can’t be removed. Refer to the instructions
that most washing machine manuals give
on removal of difficult stains and, most
importantly, wash the items again.
How to prepare laundry items:
-close all zips and press studs;
-remove loose buttons, broaches, clips;
-do up belts, aprons strings, etc.;
-empty pockets.
Check labels on fabrics:

Recommended volumes:
To reduce creasing and optimise drying times
we advise keeping within a maximum of 6
kg of cotton and 3 kg of synthetic/delicate
fibres.
-6 kg of cotton corresponds to the volume
of a full drum (items uncompressed);
-3 kg of synthetic/delicate fibres corre-
sponds to the volume of a half drum;
-1,5 kg of synthetic/delicate fibres corre-
sponds to the volume of a quarter drum.
Before the first drying cycle, clean the inside
of the drum with a damp cloth to remove
any dust that may have deposited.
Putting the laundry into the drum:
-open the door by pulling the handle
outwards;
- check the filter is in its housing;
- put the washed and spun laundry into the
drum without compressing it;
- close the door.

Start
Important: remember that if there’s a power failure or if the door is opened during a
drying cycle, the appliance will automatically restart once the initial conditions are
restored. On completion of the drying cycle, a cool air ventilation phase will start
automatically. After this, four acoustic signals will tell you the cycle has ended. If you
haven’t selected the Anti-crease exclusion option, the 60 minute anti-crease phase
will now start. During this stage the laundry may be taken out at any time.

Routine maintenance
It’s important to remember that the filter
must be cleaned after each cycle.
The filter is in the bottom part of the opening
of your dryer.
To clean it:
- pull the filter upwards out of its housing
(A);
- clean it by removing the thin layer of fluff
covering it (B)
Use a piece of crumpled plush fabric to
remove fibres from the filter.
Under no circumstances must it be
cleaned with water (C).
-
replace it in its housing , pushing down well.
Cleaning the dryer:
The only acceptable way to clean the control
panel, the access to the drum and the bodywork
is with a wet sponge or cloth and some liquid
soap.
In any case, never use (E):
abrasive powders;
metallic or plastic pads;
alcohol based products (alcohol, diluents, etc.)
Cleaning the humidity probes (D):
If you have an electronic dryer, a layer of scale
may deposit on the probes (inside the drum, on
top of the stainless steel blade). Remove by
wiping the probes with a cloth soaked in vinegar
C
D
E
Cleaning the filter
Once every six months, hoover the vents
at the front and back of the machine to
eliminate dust and fluff.

68
Maintaining the condensation water container and condenser
Emptying the condensation water container:
The container is in the bottom part of the machine. It
collects the water extracted from the laundry during the
wash.
To empty it, open the skirting flap and remove the container
from its housing by pulling outward (A and B).
The container must emptied after each drying cycle.
If this isn’t done, the next cycle will be interrupted; around
20 seconds after you’ve emptied and replaced the
container, the cycle resumes and the “container full” led
goes out.
Risk of freezing: If there is a risk of freezing, empty
the water container.
Moving the dryer: If you want to move or tilt the
machine, empty the water container.
Cleaning the condenser
The condenser should be cleaned twice a month.
Take the plug out before cleaning the condenser.
- open the skirting flap on the front of the machine (A);
- remove the condenser panel by sliding the locking
devices towards one another in the direction of the
arrows (C);
- turn the lever 90° to free the condenser (D);
- remove the condenser (E);
- free it from fluff;
- rinse with tap water only (F);
- after cleaning, make sure all the tubes are “unblocked”
and that the fins are clean;
- dry it summarily;
- remove all deposits of fibre from the surface of the
condenser housing and around the water discharge
hole (F);
- replace the container in its housing, secure it and put
the cover and skirting back on.
Important: when you remount the condenser, keep
it firmly pressed against the bottom of its housing
whilst securing it.

What to do if…
Malfunction Check that:
the drum filter isn’t covered with fluff;
the condenser isn’t covered with scale;
the laundry has been well spun (min. 500 rpm; 850 rpm
shortens drying time);
the ambient temperature isn’t too high (especially if the
room is small); if necessary open the door or window;
the air intake and vent are free enough to ensure proper
circulation.
the drum filter isn’t covered with fluff;
the selected type of drying is right; if necessary, choose
a “drier” programme;
the condenser isn’t blocked with fluff.
The following malfunctions may occur when using your dryer. Here are some solutions.
Drying times are too long.
Check that:
The laundry is too damp.
Check that:
the laundry is sufficiently “separated” before going into
the drum;
the drum isn’t too full.
Drying isn’t even.
Check that:
• the laundry isn’t too dry.
• you have used a softener in the wash;
softeners solve much of the problem with static.
Synthetic items are charged
with static electricity.
Check that:
the condensation water container is full; having emptied
it, correctly put it back and secure it to the bottom of its
housing.
The “container full” led is
on. Check whether:
your dryer is horizontal.
The “container full” led
comes on during a cycle
when the container is only
partly full. Check that:
The dryer doesn’t start.
Check that:
the fuses are in perfect condition;
it’s plugged in properly;
you’ve pressed the on/off or start button;
you’ve closed the door properly;
the condenser is well screwed in;
the condensation water container is empty and properly
positioned;
the filter is in its housing properly.
