GENERAL AND ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Supply Cord and Plug

not play with the appliance.
Water
Do not immerse appliance in water. Do not immerse any part of this appliance or supply
cord in water. Do not use with wet hands or use in damp situations.
Use and Environment
CAUTION: Do not operate the kettle on an inclined plane, Do not operate the kettle
unless the element is fully immersed. Do not move while the kettle is switched on.

This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.
The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided. Use only cold water when
filling the device, the water level must be between the MAX and MIN. marks.
Switch the kettle off before removing it from the base; always ensure that the lid is
tightly closed. The base and exterior of the kettle must not become wet.
The kettle is protected against damage due to operation with insufficient water by
means of a safety cut-out. This cuts off power when the heating element gets too
hot.
If the kettle ever runs dry while operating, first remove the mains plug from the wall
socket, and then pour in sufficient cold water to cool down the heating element The
safety cut-out automatically reset.
Earth Safety
This appliance must be earthed. Only connect to a suitably earthed 220-240V ~ 50Hz
supply socket.
Burns Risk
This Kettle must not be overfilled, as there is a risk of scalding from hot water that may
