If this product should become defective within the warranty period, we will repair or replace any
defective parts free of charge. All warranty repairs must be completed by Guardian Technologies
LLC. This warranty does not cover unauthorized repairs. The warranty does not include unusual
wear, damage resulting from accident, or unreasonable use of the product. This warranty only
covers the product when used with genuine Guardian Technologies accessories. This warranty
covers product that was purchased from authorized distributors. This warranty gives you specific
legal rights and you may also have other rights (other rights may vary from state to state in
the U.S.A.)

superior service to our customers, however submitting the warranty registration is optional and
does not affect your rights to utilize this warranty according to the conditions stated above. To

SET UP INSTRUCTIONS - INSTALL BATTERY
1. Loosen the screw on the main module
with a screwdriver.
2. Insert flat head screwdriver into opening
on both sides of module cover and pry to
remove cover.
4. Realign cover tabs with slots and
assemble making sure its properly sealed.
Return screw and tighten with screwdriver.

SELECT LED SIGNAL, MODULE and SENSOR LOCATIONS FOR INSTALLATION IN TRUCK
Before adhering, determine location of all 3 components using following guidelines.
After marking locations for each component, clean all surfaces where components
will be placed with rubbing alcohol.)
MODULE/LED SIGNAL:
Select location on the inside of the truck bed side panel to adhere the Module.
Select a location that allows the LED signal to rest on the top of the truck and direct the
LED light to the drivers side mirror. The driver should see the LED in the side mirror clearly
(fig. 1). LED signal device aligns with drivers side mirror. Bulb facing forward (fig. 2).

MODULE/SENSOR:
Select location for the model on the inside of the truck bed (fig 3). Important: The
location of the Module must correspond with the Sensor device. When the gate is
closed, the Sensor device must be within 1” of the module to send the signal. It should
be as close to the Module unit as possible without touching it (fig 4).

Module
1. After marking locations for each component, clean all surfaces where components
will be placed with rubbing alcohol.
2. Adhere Module: Remove adhesive
paper and adhere to inside of truck
bed. Make sure LED signal is facing
correct direction and sits on truck
panel as outlined previously.
3. Remove adhesive paper and adhere the
LED Signal directly to the top bed rail on
the outside of the cover of the car.
Note: The LED bulb should face the trucks
side mirror
4. Remove adhesive paper and adhere the Magnetic
Sensor directly to gate of the truck, making sure
that when the gate is CLOSED it’s within 1”
proximity to the Module.
Note: Adhesive can be removed from
vehicle using rubbing alcohol.
Operating Instructions
1. Turn unit on by pressing the power button on the side of the main module –
one red flash will appear on the LED signal the power is “on”.
2. If the Tailgate is left open, the Magnetic SENSOR (installed on the gate) will
activate the switch on the MAIN MODULE and the connected LED Signal
(installed on the truck) will then send a light signal that can be seen in the
drivers side mirror that the gate is down.
An Open Tailgate = 1 red flash every 2 seconds on the LED.
3. Close the Tailgate. No LED signal will appear.
Note: if Low Battery the LED signal will flash yellow 2 times every minute.
Troubleshooting
Not turning on.
1. Check to make sure the switch is “ON”.
2. Check if the battery installed properly.
3. Change batteries
When car tailgate is closed, if LED continues to flash signaling tailgate is open.
1. Check if the sensor has the magnet in the case.
2. Check the distance of the sensor to sensor module, it needs to be within
1" of sensor module end that is opposite the switch.
