OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Accuracy can vary as much as 1″ in 50 feet. Because the wheel rolls on different
surfaces, both smooth and bumpy, the Measuring Wheel cannot be relied on to provide
precise measurements.
1. Before using this Digital Measure Wheel be sure the batteries are properly installed.
2. Turn on the Measure Wheel by pushing the ON/OFF Button located on the Display
Housing (23). Clear the Display Window (13) by pushing the Clear Button also located
on the Display Housing (23).
3. Four function buttons are located above the Display Window (13). From left to right
they are the:
a. On/Off Button. This is used to activate or de-activate the Measure Wheel.
b. Feet/Meter Button. Used to change from Meters to measuring in feet.
c. Hold/Clear Button. Press and release this Button if you want to store measurement
history, or press and HOLD this Button down to clear all measurements.
d. NO1/NO2 Button. Use this if you wish to change to another Display. You can
switch back and forth from one measurement to another.
4. Extend the Handle (1) by twisting either of the Handle Locks, (3) or (9) while holding
any of the three Shafts, Upper (2), Middle (7) or Lower (12) and Pulling. To collapse
the Handle (1), simply reverse the procedure. Be sure to retighten the Locked Pieces
before using or storing.
5. Clear any information from the Display Window (13) by pushing the Clear Button.
Place the Wheel (24) at the point where you wish to measure from, then roll the
Measure Wheel in the direction you wish to measure. When you stop, read the bright
green numbers displayed on the black background in the Display Window (13). Then
either store the information (see (3c) above), or clear the information (see (3c) above).
6. Change the batteries by removing the Battery Cover (21), lifting out the old batteries,
and replacing them with fresh new batteries. Replace the Battery Cover (21). Be
sure to properly dispose of the old batteries in normal trash. NEVER incinerate them.
7. Turn off the Digital Measure Wheel after using. If it will be stored for an extended
period, remove the batteries.
