The Xerox DocuMate 150, color sheetfed
document scanner, scans up to 18 pages
per minute (ppm), includes a 50-page
automatic document feeder and has the
ability to automatically scan documents into
searchable PDF les. The Xerox DocuMate
150 was designed specically for desktop
use and incorporates Visioneer OneTouch
technology for eliminating multiple steps
in sending scanned documents to predeter-
mined applications or devices.
The scanner offers a professional software
bundle that includes Nuance PaperPort
and OmniPage Pro. It also ships with an
advanced TWAIN driver to enable communi-
cation with advanced electronic content
management (ECM) software applications.

Visioneer OneTouch technology also allows
users to easily set the “destination” of their
scanned documents by pressing a button
and selecting one of nine pre-programmed
(or user-customizable) scan settings. “Desti-

The Xerox DocuMate 150 integrates Kofax
VRS image enhancement technology into the
OneTouch scanning process. VRS is the gold-
standard in image improvement technology.
Imperfect originals are automatically turned
into perfect scans that are easier to read for
the human eye and the computer’s eye. OCR
results are dramatically improved, le size
is decreased and scans look as clear as the
originals. And every page is custom corrected
automatically so you can batch together
clean, laser quality documents with your
imperfect originals. The results are amazing.
Nuance OmniPage Pro
The Xerox DocuMate 150 software bundle
allows users to automatically scan to image-
over-text searchable PDF. Searchable PDF
maintains the visual integrity of the original
document, with the text portions of the im-
age converted via OCR for search purposes
and stored in a separate layer. This allows for
low-cost conversion from paper to PDF, while
permitting easy distribution and ability to
search, link, select/copy and index the text.
Nuance PaperPort
PaperPort is the easiest way to turn volumes
of paper into organized digital les that you
can quickly nd, use and share. Stop wasting
time looking for paper documents scattered
around your ofce. The Xerox DocuMate 150
can scan documents directly to PDF les.
PaperPort supports one-click creation of PDF
les from Microsoft Ofce documents and
supports Print-to-PDF using other Microsoft
Windows applications. A wide range of image
formats can also be converted into PDF –
including TIFF, MAX, JPG, BMP and GIF.
PaperPort can help you nd any document
on your PC instantly. Just type in a word or
phrase and PaperPort will bring up the correct
document immediately.
Scan to network drives by adding new des-
tinations to the PaperPort folder list allows
scanning direct to the desired location. Scan
straight to you My Documents folder or to a
network drive.

Visioneer OneTouch
Visioneer OneTouch is an easy to use utility
that connects the buttons on the DocuMate
scanner with a powerful set of scanner set-
tings to greatly improve the efciency of
your workow – so that with one touch, the
document is scanned automatically to email,
or Word, or your printer, or simply a le folder.
In addition to scanning direct to all popular
destinations, Visioneer OneTouch also links
the DocuMate 150 with industry-leading
document management software, such as,
Microsoft SharePoint and Xerox DocuWare
– forming an easy to use workow from
paper to a selected destination. A Software
Development Kit (SDK) is also available which
provides the ability to develop specic links
and integrate them into the Visioneer One-
Touch control panel quickly and easily.
