warmwater.

The dispenser automaticallydilutes liquid
chlorinebleachbeforeit reachesyourwash
load.Touse,followthese steps:
1. Measureliquidchlorinebleachcarefully,
followingtheinstructionson the bottle.
2. Add the bleachto the dispenserbefore
addingthe load.Avoidsplashingor over-
fillingthedispenser.Wipeup spills.
• Never pour undiluted liquid chlorine
bleachdirectlyontothe loador intothe
washtub.It isa powerfulchemicaland
can cause fabric damage, such as
tearingor colorloss, if not usedprop-
edy
• If you prefer to use color-safe, non-
chlorinebleach, pour it into thewash
tub with your detergent.Do not pour
non-chlorinebleachesinto the bleach
dispenser.
Thisdispenserautomaticallyreleasesliquid ,
fabricsofteneratthe propertimeduringthe
cycle.Touse,followthesesteps:
1. Pour liquid fabricsoftenerinto the dis-
penserusingtheamountrecommended
on the package.
2. Addwarmwaterto thedispenseruntilit
reachestheMAXline.Wipeupspills.

spin.Thiswill causethe dispenserto
emptytoosoon.
• Neverpourfabric softenerdirectlyon
the load.It willleavespotsandstains.

hotwater,detergentanda soft brush.
Use either liquid or granular laundry
detergent.For best results, be sure
detergent is added to the washer
BEFOREthe load and be sure wash
wateris above65' F.
Usethe correctamountof detergentfor
theload size,soillevelandwatercondi-
tions. Use more detergent if you have
hardwaterand/orverysoiledloads.
If you havesoft wateror a lightlysoiled
load,useless detergent.(See manufac-
turer'sinstructions.)
Wipe up any detergent spills on the
washer.

Putdry, unfoldedclothes looselyin the
tub,uptothetop rowof holesfora max-
imumload.
Do not wrap large items like sheets
aroundtheagitator.
Mix largeandsmallitemsfor bestcircu-
lation. Wash bulky items like blankets
separately.
• When launderingwrinkle free items or
itemsof delicateconstruction,washable
woolensor looselyknititems,neveruse
less than the MEDIUMwater levelset-
ting. This will minimizeshrinkage,wrin-
klingand pullingof seams.
For best results, add the detergent to
washtubbeforeaddingthe load.
Closelidcarefullyto avoidslamming.
LOADSENSOR"AGITATOR
The LoadSensorTM agitator is specially
designedto be sensitiveto every load.The
spiralfinswill movecontinuouslywithlarge,
heavy loads. With smaller, more delicate
loads,thespiralfinswill moveintermittently,
orwithvery lightloads,notatall.Itisnormal
to notice a differencein the agitatorsound
fromloadto load.

2. Pourin yourfavoriteliquiddetergent,up
to 10{)fluid ouncesatone time.
3. Replacethe dispenserfillcap.
4. Closethe washerlid.
5. Openthewasherlid.
7. Place the cap of your detergent bottle
under the "PUSH"button. Fill the cap
withdetergentfromthedispenserasfull
as youwouldfor mostof your loadsby
pressingand holdingthe"PUSH"button
(figure2), Placethe detergentfrom the
cap eitherin thetub or back in the dis-
penser.
8. Move the slide indicator to the levelof
theliquidinthesightglass(figure3).For
yournextleadof laundry,just pressand
holdthe "PUSH"buttonuntil the deter-
gentmovesdownto theslideindicatorto
dispensedetergentdirectlyintothetub.
Steps 7 and 8 only need to be done
ONCEwhenf_rst_]llingthe dispenseror
changingbrandsofdetergent.
6. Movethe slide indicatorall the way to
the top (figure 1). Next, follow steps 7
and 8 to set the amount of detergent
usedforthe averageload.

TOREMOVETHEDISPENSER
FORCLEANING
1. Supportthebottomofthe dispenserwith
one hand.Use a quarter and turn four
slotted screws counter clockwise 1/4
turn (figure4).
2. Pull the dispenserout from the bottom
ofthe lid.
3. Removefill cap.
4. Fillwithwaterabouthalf way.Movethe
dispenserfromside to sideto wash out
detergent.
5. With the dispenserovera largesink or
bath tub, turn it upsidedown to empty
thewater/detergentoutof thedispenser
fill area.
Ifyoudecideto changebrandsof liquid
detergent(Example:Tide®to Wisl_ or
TidewithBleachAlternative®toTide®)it
: is important the dispenser be empty
and clean before adding new deter-
gent.Differentdetergentsmayinteract
andclogthedispenser.

1. Placethe topofthe dispenserinthe top
lip ofthe lid.
2. Push the bottom of the dispenserinto
thebottomofthelid.
3. While supporting the bottom, use a
quarterandturn eachofthefourscrews

into place.

CAREANDCLEANING
Turnoffthe waterfaucets afterfinishing
the day'swashing. Thiswillshutoffthe
watersupplytothewasherandpreventthe
unlikelypossibilityofdamagefrom escaping
water.
Use a soft clothto wipe up all detergent,
bleachor otherspills astheyoccur.
Cleanthefollowingas recommended:
Control Panel- cleanwith a soft, damp
clothand glass cleaner.Do not useabra-
sivepowdersorcleaningpads.
Cabinet- cleanwithsoapandwater.
Intedor - hard water deposits may be
removedusinga recommendedhardwater
remover/cleaner labeled washer safe.
Followthecleanermanufacturer'sdirections
for use, and make surethe washeris run
througha completecycle to rinse out any
remainingcleaningsubstance.
STORINGTHEWASHER
Washerscan be damaged if wateris not
removed from hoses and internal compo-
nents beforestorage. Preparethewasher
forstorageasfollows:
• Select NORMALon the WHITEScycle
and add one cup of bleach OR white
vinegar to a full load of water without
clothes. (Donot mixbleachand vinegar
in thesamewash.Hazardousfumescan
form.) Run the washer througha com-
pletecycle.
• Turnthewaterfaucatsoffanddisconnect
the inlethoses.
• Disconnectthewasherfrom the electri-
calsupplyandleavethewasherlidopen
to let air circulateinsidethe tub.
If thewasherhasbeen storedin below-
freezingtemperatures,allowtimeforthe
washertothaw outpriorto use.
• After storage, select NORMALon the
WHITES cycle and run the washer
througha completecycle.

• The washer is designed to reduce
spin speed if an unbalancedload is
detected.Thisisnormal.
• Redistributethe load in the tub and
set thewasheronSPIN.
STOPS
• Turnthecontroldialto propercycleand
pull dial out to start the washer. If
equippedwithbuttons,besurethey are
fullydepressed.
• Close lid and pull dial out to start the
washer.Foryoursafety,washerwill not
agitateorspinunlesslidisclosed.
• This may be a pause or soak pedod
in the cycle. Wait briefly and it may
start.
• Thewasheris equippedwitha lid switch
failuredetector. If the lid switchshould
