OPERATION
Injury Prevention
Ensure the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the power supply before changing
accessories or approaching parts that move in use. Avoid contact with all moving parts. Blades
are sharp, handle carefully. Do not allow children to use the blender without supervision.

Before use, put a drop of cooking oil on the shaft seal to lubricate it.
Failure to do so may result in a squealing noise when used.
Using the Stick Mixer
Ensure the stick mixer blades are free from any accidental contact before connecting to the
mains supply.
The appliance can be used to chop small solid ingredients or to mix or blend liquid type
ingredients.
Place the selected ingredients into a mixing bowl or similar. Plug the supply cord plug into a
suitable 220-240V ~ 50Hz power outlet socket. Hold the mixer handle firmly and place the
blade end of the mixer arm in a vertical position into the bowl. Switch on the mixer by pressing
and holding inwards the top button for normal operation, or the bottom button for turbo or
higher speed mixing. Move gently around as the mixture mixes, keeping the blades into the
mixture. Occasionally remove mix from the edge of the mixing bowl with a spatula if required.
Caution: Do not put undue force onto the mixer arm or blades.
Warning
This appliance is designed for short term operation only. To prevent the appliance from
overheating do not operate the stick mixer continuously for more than 60 seconds; allow 4
minutes rest before next use. Always disconnect the blender from the supply if it is left
unattended and before assembling, dissembling or cleaning.
Note
The first time this appliance is used there may be a small amount of smoke and odour. This is
normal and is due to the protective coating placed on the motor at manufacture to protect it
during shipping.

Cleaning
The detachable shaft separates for easy cleaning. Twist the detachable shaft ΒΌ of a turn anti-
clockwise while holding the main body. Clean the detachable shaft using warm soapy water -
the water temperature should not be over 60 degrees Celsius. A soft nylon brush may be
helpful. Do not use any abrasive cleaners or harsh solvents.
After cleaning, replace the detachable shaft by screwing clockwise back onto the main body of
the mixer.
Care is needed when handling cutting blades, especially during cleaning.
Do not immerse the main body of the appliance or the supply cord in water.
