Due to the function displaying the best lap time and average lap time, it takes at least
three units of memory to store 1 time data. If you store data only in one channel,
you can use 100 units of memory per channel. If you use more than one channel,
the units of memory you can use will be less than 100 units of memory in total. For
example, if the measured time data are stored in one channel, 100 units of memory
can be used, but if data is divided and stored in 2 channels, 97 units of memory can
be used in total.

Notice on change of Moscow time zone
Moscow had previously been in a time zone that was 3 hours ahead of GMT/UTC.
However, since 2011, Moscow has shifted to a time zone that is 4 hours ahead of
GMT/UTC. When you would like to view the time in Moscow, always set the Moscow
time to summer time (DST).
Please note that, in the TIME DIFFERENCE TABLE in this instruction manual,
Moscow is displayed as a city represented by a time zone which is 3 hours ahead of
GMT/UTC.
NOTES ON USING THE WATCH
TIME/CALENDAR MODE
[MODE CHANGE]
●
If the confirmation sound for button operations is set, the watch emits a brief
sound when a button is pressed. When the display is changed to the Time/Calen-
dar display from World time display, the watch emits a sound different from other
button operations.
[TIME/CALENDAR SETTING]
●
The calendar automatically adjusts for odd and even months including February of
leap years from 2009 to 2058.
●
Once the year, month and date have been set, the day of the week is automati-
cally set.
●
Setting the seconds:
• Withtheseconddigitsashing,pressbuttonCorDinaccordancewithatime
signal.Theseconddigitsareresetto “00”.
• Whenthesecondscountanynumberfrom “30”to “59”andbuttonCorDis
pressed,oneminuteisaddedandthesecondsareresetto “00”.

The flashing digits except the second, 12-/24-hour indication, and DST, move
quickly if button C or D is kept pressed.
●
If summer time is set in the TIME/CALENDAR display and the same city is se-
lected in the WORLD TIME display, the summer time will also be shown in the

STOPWATCH MODE
●
After 9 hours, 59 minutes and 59.99 seconds have been measured, the stop-
watch stops. Press button A to reset the stopwatch.
●
Restart and stop of the stopwatch can be repeated by pressing button C.
●
Measurement of the lap time and split time can be repeated by pressing button A.
●
After a measurement, lap number flashes, and lap and split times are displayed
for approximately 10 seconds. And then the display automatically returns to show
the on-going measurement and the current lap number.
●
Measurement of lap and split times can be repeated as many times as necessary.
The lap number can be displayed until "098," and continues to "001," "002," and so
on.
●
Even if the digits are reset to “00” in the stopwatch measurement, the stored
data is not erased and can be recalled unless a new measurement is started.
●
Even if the STOPWATCH mode is changed to another while the measurement is
in progress, it continues counting properly. After using the stopwatch function,
be sure to stop the stopwatch to avoid unnecessary battery usage.
WORLD TIME display.
●
If the watch is left untouched with the digits flashing, it will automatically return
to the TIME/CALENDAR mode in 2 to 3 minutes.
●
Note on unusual display:
While setting the time/calendar, all the segments of the display will light up if both
buttons A and C are pressed at the same time. This is not a malfunction. Press
any one of the buttons A, B, C, D, or E twice to return to the TIME/CALENDAR
mode, and then set the time/calendar again.
TIMER MODE
[TIMER SETTING]
●
The flashing digits move quickly if button C or D is kept pressed.
●
If the watch is left untouched with the digits flashing, it will automatically return to
the TIMER mode in 2 to 3 minutes.
[TIMER OPERATION]
●
Restart and stop of the timer can be repeated by pressing button C.
●
To stop the time-up warning beep and time-up beep while sounding, press either
Button A, B, C, D, or E.
MEMORY RECALL mode
●
If no data is stored in memory, “ - - - ” mark will be displayed when button B is
pressed to show the memory recall display.
●
If data is deleted while the stopwatch is measuring, "F---" mark is displayed and the
watch automatically returns to the MEMORY RECALL display.
ALARM MODE

WORLD TIME MODE
●
The time differences and use of daylight saving time in each city are subject to
change according to the governments of the respective countries of regions.
●
If summer time is set to the city which has also been set as "HOME" in the TIME/
CALENDAR display, the summer time will also be shown in the TIME/CALENDAR
display.
NOTE ON THE LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL
●
The normal life expectancy for the liquid crystal panel of the watch is approxi-
mately 7 years. After that, it may decrease in contrast, becoming difficult to read.
Please contact the retailer from whom the watch was purchased to have the liquid
crystal panel replaced with a new one.
ILLUMINATING LIGHT (electroluminescent panel)
●
The electroluminescent panel for illumination of the display loses its luminance
as the battery voltage gets lowered. Also, its luminance level decreases gradually
with use.
●
After 120 hours of use, the luminance level decreases by about half. When the illu-
minating light becomes dim, replace the battery with a new one. If the illuminating
light remains dim after the battery is replaced, have the electroluminescent panel
replaced with a new one by the retailer from whom the watch was purchased. It
will be replaced at cost.

Necessary procedure after battery change
After the battery is replaced with a new one or if an abnormal display (broken digits,
etc.) appears, follow the procedure below to reset the IC.
Keep buttons A, B, C and E pressed at the same time for 2
to 3 seconds. The display will become blank, and "1-1 AM
12:00oo" will be displayed as the buttons are released.
