Quick Start:
1.Fully charge the battery case with earbuds inside before you use it. The battery case will be fully
charged when you can see four blue LEDs glowing inside the case.
2.For the first connection to your device, please remove both earbuds at the same time. If you
remove only one, you may find your earbuds will enter mono mode. If this happens, place both
earbuds back in the case and remove together.
3.If mono mode continues restore into factory mode. For details, please read “restore to factory
mode” in this manual.
Operation:
1. Power on：
Auto power on: Take the earbuds out the case to auto power on. The blue light will flash three times and
you will hear “Power on”.
Power on by hand: If earbuds are taken out without connecting, they will turn off automatically after 5
minutes. Long press the centre button for 3 seconds. The blue light will flash three times and you will hear
the ’Power on”.
2. Connect to mobile phone: Remove the earbuds from the case. The left earbud indicator light will
change to flash blue and red alternately. Now the earbuds are ready to pair to a device. Locate the earbuds
name in your device under “Setting → Bluetooth → New search/ Other Devices→“Kew Labs - KTW1”. Click
to connect. The left earbud indicator light color will change to blue and you will hear “Connected”.

3. Auto earbud pairing: After previous pairing is complete, they will pair automatically with the tone of
“Left channel connected” & “Right channel connected” when removed from charging case.

5. Auto re-connect: If the connection is cut-off or interfered by strong signals, it will connect automatically
after the signal has passed (under mobile phone Bluetooth turning on status). When earbuds go out of
range the connection will flicker and cut-off, it will connect automatically when back within range. If it can’t
connect again, turn-off the Bluetooth in mobile phone and re-start again. Earbuds will connect
automatically.
6. Low battery warning: When battery is under 20%, the indicator will flash red every 5 seconds, and will
warn “Low Battery” every 5 minutes.
7. Low battery and power off: When battery is too low, the earbuds will power off automatically. Red light
will flash along with “power off” tone.
8. Power off: Simply put the earbuds into the case. If the earbuds don’t connect to any device, it will power
off automatically within 3 Mins. You can also do it manually by long press centre button for 5 second.
9. Earbud Single use (Mono mode): If you would like to listen in one earbud only please use the left
earbud. The left earbud controls the connection to your device. Therefore, returning the left earbud to the

case while listening in stereo will disconnect the Bluetooth signal of both earbuds. Returning the right
earbud only will allow you to continue listening in the left earbud. Taking out the right earbud again will
reconnect both into stereo mode.
How to charge KTW1 and LED Explanation:
1. Put L and R earbuds into charging case and they will charge automatically.
2. When earbuds are charging, the red color LED will flash.
3. When earbuds are fully charged, the blue LED will stay on and after 3 mins, all LED is off.
4. One earbud red and the other blue means the blue is fully charged and the red is still charging
When earbuds charging, charging case indicators will show the battery charging status:
100% Battery “●●●●”
75% Battery “●●●”
50% Battery “●●”
25% Battery “●”
Restore to Default Factory Mode:
If your earbuds are accidentally changed to mono mode and you cannot reconnect to stereo by placing
them back in the case like no. 9, please follow the steps below to restore it:
1. Delete the Kew Labs - KTW1 Bluetooth setting in your device and turn Bluetooth off.
2. Whilst wearing both earbuds hold the centre button for 35 seconds. After 5 seconds you will hear the
manual “power off”. After another 25 seconds you will hear manual “power on” tone and after another 5
seconds you will hear twice “clearing pairing information”.
3. For best results, you can put the earbuds into the battery case for ~10mins. However, they can be repaired
straight away if necessary.
4. The restore to factory mode is completed. You can take them out from the battery case and they will go
into auto-pairing again. If they do not, please delete the Kew Labs - KTW1 from your Bluetooth setting and
try again.
Troubleshooting:
Problem: There are two KewLabs - KTW1 in Bluetooth settings:
Solution: You are in mono mode. Please delete both Bluetooth names from your device, turn off Bluetooth
in your device and perform factory mode reset as described above. Skipping the Bluetooth name delete step
before the factory reset will keep your device in mono mode even after factory reset.
Problem: The sound is flickering between earbuds
Solution: There is a disruption between the earbud signals. If this is happening within the first 48 hours of
using the product, please perform factory rest as above and try again.
Problem: The earbuds do not fit my ears
Solution: Please experiment with the different earbud sizes provided. If you cannot make the earbuds fit
comfortably please contact us at support@kewlabstech.com before Amazon as only we can assist you with
any necessary returns or exchange or refunds.
