4 About This Product
The standard oil-mist lubricator and micro oil-mist lubricator
are components of maintenance units. They are used to regulate
oil release to the compressed air. Cylinder speeds >1 m/s, metal-
metal sealing valves, and compressed air tools are typical
applications.
The following table shows the assignments of the lubricators to the
maintenance units:
5 Assembly, Commissioning,
Operation
O Let the product acclimatize for several hours before
commissioning, otherwise water may condense in the housing
Assembling the mounting elements
W01 – W06
O Observe the figures .
Assembling the reservoir and protective
guard
Assembling the plastic reservoir with protective guard
1. Slide the reservoir onto the lubricator housing (a) and tighten
firmly (b).
2. Slide the protective guard over the lubricator reservoir (c) onto
the housing.
3. Position the protective guard in the provided recess (d) and
tighten firmly (e).
CAUTION
Danger of injury if assembled under pressure or voltage!
Assembling when under pressure or electrical voltage can lead
to injuries and damage to the product or system components.
O Make sure that the relevant system part is not under voltage
or pressure before you assemble the product.
O Protect the system against being switched on.
System is operating under pressure.
Incorrect installation could damage the maintenance unit/
device and cause serious injury.
O Before start-up, check that all connections, ports, and
maintenance devices have been correctly installed.
Sudden surge in pressure during start-up!
If no SSV filling unit is used, the system will suddenly be under
pressure during start-up. This could cause dangerous and
sudden cylinder movements.
O When starting up a system without an SSV filling valve,
make sure that the cylinders are in their end position. For
cylinders not in the end position, make sure they do not
present any danger.
Noxious oil mist!
If oil is used in the compressed air system, noxious oil mist may
develop.
O Only operate the oil-mist lubricator in closed pneumatic
systems.

Assembling the die-cast reservoir with bayonet catch
1. Slide the reservoir onto the lubricator housing (a).
2. Firmly tighten the reservoir (b).
3. Engage the bayonet catch (c).
Connecting the optional electrical level
detection
O Connect the sensor to the connection socket on the bottom of
the oil reservoir with an M12 plug.
If the oil reaches the minimum oil level, the sensor will be actuated
by the internal magnet.
Filling the standard oil-mist lubricator and
micro oil-mist lubricator with oil
Observe the figures at the back page.
W It is possible to refill the oil during operation of the standard oil-
mist lubricator.
W With micro oil-mist lubricators, the system must be bled
before refilling the oil. To do this, we recommend installing a 2/
2 shut-off valve on the primary side and a 3/2 manual spool
valve on the secondary side of the maintenance unit.
Filling the oil reservoir manually
O Regularly check the oil level and refill if the oil has reached the
minimum filling height indicated on the reservoir. Proceed as
follows:
Standard oil-mist lubricator
1. Make sure the relevant system part is not under pressure.
2. Loosen filling screw b.
3. Fill the reservoir with the specified oil (see “Technical Data”)
until the oil reaches the maximum fill height indicated on the
reservoir ( ).
NOTICE:
If filling level is too high, oil can reach the system and damage it.
4. Tighten filling screw b again.
CAUTION
Danger of injury if assembled under pressure or voltage!
Assembling when under pressure or electrical voltage can lead
to injuries and damage to the product or system components.
O Make sure that the relevant system part is not under voltage

Micro oil-mist lubricator/standard oil-mist lubricator
Setting the oil amount
1. Set the oil amount using the metering screw on the oil-mist
lubricator's drop attachment.
2. Determine the amount of oil discharged by observing the
number of drops in the drop attachment. Approximate values:
standard oil-mist lubricator: 1 – 2 drops/min (qv = 1000 std l/
min); micro oil-mist lubricator: 10 – 20 drops/min
(qv = 1000 std l/min).
6 Service and Repairs
Cleaning and servicing
W Seal all openings with suitable protective caps to prevent
detergents from penetrating the system.
W Never use solvents or strong detergents. Only clean the
product using a slightly damp cloth. Only use water and, if
necessary, a mild detergent.
W Do not use high-pressure cleaners for cleaning.
W Do not use any compressed air for cleaning (blowing off)
maintenance units and devices.
With plastic reservoir With metal reservoir
1. Make sure the relevant system part is not under pressure.
2. Exhaust the system.
3. Loosen the protective
guard ( a, b), if present,
and pull it off downwards
(c).
4. Disconnect the sensor’s M12 plug from the connection
socket on the bottom of the oil reservoir ( I).
5. Screw the reservoir ( d)
out of the housing.
Pull release ( a)
downwards, then turn
reservoir ( b) to the left
before pulling it off
downwards ( c).
6. Fill the reservoir with the specified oil (see “Technical Data”)
until the oil reaches the maximum fill height indicated on
the reservoir ( ).
NOTICE:
If filling level is too high, oil can reach the system and
damage it.
7. Remount the filled
reservoir and, if present,
the protective guard in
reverse order as shown in
Fig. (see also Fig. ).
Remount the filled reservoir in
reverse order as shown in
Fig. (see also Fig. ).
8. Connect the sensor to the connection socket on the bottom
of the oil reservoir ( III) with an M12 plug.
With a standard oil-mist lubricator, all of the supplied
drops end up in the compressed air system.
With a micro oil-mist lubricator, approx. 10% of the
supplied drops end up in the compressed air system.
