TROUBLE SHOOTING:
CAUTION: Ensure power supply is turned off before attempting trouble shooting.
NOTE: This fan does not contain servicable parts.
DO NOT OPEN or TAMPER WITH THE MOTOR.
Should your fan not start:
1) Check fuses are in place in the switchboard.
2) Recheck the terminal strip connections.
3) Ensure the wall & direction switches are not stuck in a “middle” position.
4) Ensure that the shipping tabs (gure 14) have been removed.
Should your fan be noisy:
1) Check all screws are sufciently tight: fan blades and fan holders, (if applicable) glass of
the lamp holder.
2) Allow at least 24 hours for the fan to settle.
Should your fan wobble:
In general, wobble is caused by the blades not cutting the air at the same point. Measure
downwards from the ceiling and make sure each blade is at the same height to the ceiling.
See Figure 1. If they are not, adjust by hand by slightly bending the blade and bracket.
If a major adjustment is needed, insert a washer as shown in Figure 2.
1) Check the blades are securely fastened to the holders.
2) Check the blade holders are tight on the motor.
3) Ensure the mounting bracket is properly screwed to the ceiling.
4) Interchange opposite blade sets if needed.
Should the light on your fan not work:
1) Check the terminal connections are tight.
2) Check if the lamp is blown.
Should the above fail, contact a qualied electrician for assistance.

The fan is operated by pull string:
First Pull: High Speed
Second Pull: Medium Speed
Third Pull: Low Speed
Fourth Pull: Off
The slide switch operates the direction of the fan.
Down / Forward Position: Counter clockwise rotation for cooling.
Up / Reverse Position: Clockwise rotation for heating.
Note: Before chaning the direction of the fan, turn fan off, and allow to come to a complete stop.
Note: Fans move during operation which may cause some connections to come loose.
Check the supporting screws, brackets and blade attachements twice a year to ensure they
are secure.

If the external exible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it should be exclusively replaced
by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.To
ensure that you get maximum longevity and maximum use out of your luminaire, please observe
the following safety instructions.
Electrical products can cause death, injury, or damage to property. Installation of the luminaire
must be carried out by a qualied electrician, in accordance with SANS 10142. On completion
of installation, ensure that the Certicate of Compliance is updated.
Before connecting this fan, ensure that voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds
with the mains voltage in your home.
When cleaning, ensure that the power is turned off.
This fan is checked in full for conformity to the quality standards and safety requirements.
The manufacturer / supplier is not responsible for any damage of properties and persons,
caused by the incorrect use or installation of the fan.
Should you be unsure of how to install this fan correctly, please consult a professional
electrician or your supplier for assistance.
Ensure all items/ components, threads and screws are tightly secured.
IMPORTANT:
Tampering with this fan, I.E. Using silicon sealers or incorrect cabling, will invalidate your
warranty. If one is not supplied within the carton, DO NOT use a solid speed control.
Each blade set supplied is weighted and a complete set. If installing more than one fan, DO NOT
mix or add blades as this can cause your fan to wobble.
Please check whether the connection of the power cord is safe and reliable before installation.
Always ensure that the mains supply voltage is correct.
Do not use the fan outdoors, in wet conditions or areas of high humidity.
Do not insert objects or ngers through the bars of the grill.

CLEANING
Before cleaning always ensure the power supply is turned off and that the fan has
been unplugged.
Do not immerse the fan in water.
No abrasive products, solvents, detergent may be used to clean this fan.
Ensure that the fan does not come in contact with corrosive chemicals, etc.
The motor bearings are permanently sealed and do not require additional lubrication.

This appliance is not intended for use by young children or inrm persons unless they have
been adequately supervised by a responsible person.
Always unplug the fan when cleaning or moving from one location to another.
Always ensure that the fan is on an even, stable surface.
To disconnect the appliance, unplug by rst turning off the mains power then unplugging the
fan. Do NOT pull on the cord, always grasp the plug.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
After fan is installed and hanging straight, tighten the
true-balance canopy bolts with pliers or wrench to
eliminate wobble during operation.
NOTE: Over-tightening bolts may damage canopy.

DOWNROD INSTALLATION ONLY
If plastic shipping stabilizer tabs are attached to motor,
remove and discard. Attach blade assembly to motor
housing using the noise dampening motor gasket and
motor screws provided. Tighten screws securely.
NOTE: Some models do not utilize motor gasket,
washer or stabilizer tabs.

Install the light kit to the fan base with the
screws supplied

Install the bulb being careful not to over-
tighten.

Find the connector in the switch housing and connector
in the light kit. Slide both together.

Attach light kit to fan switch housing and secure tightly
from below with the screws provided. Add light bulbs
(not included)

Make sure that all exposed wiring is secured inside the
terminal block.

Carefully lift fan from mounting plate hook, making sure not to
break any wire connections. The canopy has 2 mating slots and 2
mating holes (see illustration). Position both slots in canopy
directly under and in line with 2 mounting plate screws and lock
washers. lift fan until mounting plate screws are seated in
bottom of slots in canopy. Rotate clockwise until both
mounting screws drop into slot recesses. Tighten screws
securely. Install third and fourth screwswith lockwasher
into mating holes and tighten.

Insert downrod and ball assembly into large opening in
canopy, making sure canopy tab engages notch in
downrod ball. Place true-balance clamp ring over down-
rod ball and install 3 true-balance bolts through the
bottom of the canopy and into clamp ring.
(These bolts will be tightened correctly in step #15).

Insert downrod and ball assembly into large opening in
canopy, making sure canopy tab engages notch in
downrod ball. Place true-balance clamp ring over down-
rod ball and install 3 true-balance bolts through the
bottom of the canopy and into clamp ring.
(These bolts will be tightened correctly in step #15).

Locking Mechanism
Insert downrod into downrod yoke. Make sure to align
hole in downrod with the hole in downrod yoke.
Lift canopy and install yoke cross pin through yoke
downrod.
Insert clamp pin into cross pin until it snaps into place.
Tighten set screw in yoke.

Loosen set screw in downrod ball until ball moves easily up
and down the downrod. Do not remove ground wire from
downrod.
Slide downrod ball down, exposing cross pin. Do not remove
ball completely. Remove cross pin and save for later use.
