Keep your work area clean and well lit.
WARNING
WARNING
Maintain 50 ft (15 m) between the unit and any electrical line to reduce the risk of
electrocution.
Electricity can jump from one pole to another by arching. Higher voltage increases the
distance that causes electricity to arc.
WARNING
Bystanders must be kept at least 50 ft (15 m) away from cutting head during operation.
• Stop the machine immediately if approached.
• Be careful when turning or swinging the unit.
• Look before turning or changing direction.

ASSEMBLY PROCEDURES
Brush Cutter & Grass Trimmer Assembly
When assembling this machine, please follow the instructions for assembly steps.
Mounting the rod:
- Pull out the stop pin (1) and push the lower part
of the rod (2) right down until the stop pin (1)
clicks into the hole (3) in the rod. This is easier
to do if you rotate the bottom of the rod (2)
slightly in both directions. The pin (1) is in place
when it is completely lodged in the hole.
- Once inserted, tighten the knob (4) securely
Align the lower handle (3), cover (2) and the upper
handle(4) on the tube, screw the knob(5) till the handle
is tightly fixed.
Please see picture below and fit the belt accordingly.
Stretch the belt to adjust, so it fits as outlined below.
You can alter the height of the belt through the
adjuster as below picture shows, and then fit the
belt to the machine through the hook.
Assemble the safe guard.
Assemble the safe guard. Fix the guard(1) to the
angle transmission(2) by two screws(3) tightening
between the fixed board(4) and protection guard
under cover(5).

ASSEMBLY PROCEDURES
Brush Cutter & Grass Trimmer Assembly
Assemble the cutting head
1. Release the nut. Line up the two holes of flange and
shield, use one hex kep to hold the flange as below
and turn the socket wrench clockwise, the nut will be
released
2. Fit the Nylon cutting head. Remove another shield
after release the nuts as picture showing. Still hold the
flange, take the Nylon cutting head on the shaft and
rotate counter-clockwise, the Nylon cutting head is
fitted.
3. Release the Nylon cutting head. Use screw driver to
hold flange and then rotate the Nylon cutting head
clockwise, it will be replaced.
Assemble the cutting head
1. Keep hex key holding on the flange then release the
nuts as picture showing, then put the blade, holder
B, cover and left nut according to priority as below
picture.
Note:
the blade rotation direction needs be same
as below picture. Use screw driver to hold flange
and tighten nut counter-clockwise, ensure the nut is
tightened enough.
2. Use screw driver to hold flange and release nut, the
blade can be took off.
Use only original manufacturer's replacement parts, accessories and

Pole Saw Assembly
Mounting the Tool
Put the lower shaft (2) into the shaft coupling and
concurrently pull out the locking pin (1). Slide the
lower shaft in as far as it will go and let go of the
locking pin. The locking pin must engage into the
opening (3) located laterally in the lower shaft. Of
necessary, slightly move the lower shaft to-and-
fro until the locking pin safely locks in place. Then
tighten the knob (4).
Mounting the Bar and Chain
1. Unscrew nut and take off the sporcket cover
2. Turn tensioning screw (1) anticlockwise until the
tensioning nut (2) butts against the left.
The chain is very sharp – wear work
gloves to protect hands from cuts.
3. Fit the chain – start at the bar nose.
4. Fit guide bar over the stud (3). Engage peg of
ten-sioner slide in locating hole (4) – place the chain
over sprocket (5) at the same time.
5. Now turn tensioning screw (1) clockwise until
there is very little chain sag on the underside of the
bar – and the drive link tangs are located in the bar
groove.
6. Refit the sprocket cover and screw on the nut
tightly enough.

Tensioning the Saw Chain
Retensioning during cutting work:
Shut off the engine and then slacken the nut.
Hold the bar nose up.
• Use screwdriver to turn the tensioning screw
(1) clock-wise until chain fits snugly against the
underside of the bar.
Tighten down the nut firmly.
A new chain has to be retensioned more often than one that has been in use for some
time – check chain tension frequently.
Checking Chain Tension
Shut down the engine.
Wear work gloves to protect hands.
• Chain must fit snugly against the underside of the bar bar by hand.
• If necessary, retension the chain.
Filling Chain Oil Tank
A full chain oil tank is sufficient for only half a tankful of fuel. Check the oil level regularly
during cutting work. Never allow the oil tank to run dry!
Thoroughly clean the filler cap and area around it
so that no dirt can fall into the tank.
Position the unit so that the filler cap faces up.
If the oil level in the tank does not go down, the
reason may be a problem in the oil supply system:
Check chain lubrication, clean the oil ways,
contact your servicing deal-er for assistance if
necessary.
Checking Chain Lubrication
The saw chain must always throw off a small amount of oil.
Always check chain lubrication and the oil level in the tank before starting
work.

Recommended fuels
Use only a mixture of normal unleaded petrol and 2-stroke engine oil. Mix the fuel mixture
as indicated on the fuel mixing table.
Start the machine at least 3 metres away from the refuelling site to avoid the possible risk
of fire.
Do not smoke whilst refuelling or working with the machine.

explosion and/or fire.
Pour the correct quantities of petrol and 2-stroke oil into a container. Then shake the
container well.
NOTE: Product may need to be re-primed if it has run out of fuel.
Fuelling Procedures
Cheetah recommends the use of 2-stroke oil (Cheetah Formula V or
Valvoline power armour) at 50:1 fuel to oil ratio only.
The use of other oils and or ratios will affect the engine lubrication, which
may cause engine damage and void engine manufacturer's warranty.
Do not use a fuel mixture which has been kept for longer than 90 days, it
may damage the unit.
Only use containers designed and approved for the purpose to transport
and store fuel.
