Trigger 2008-6 Installation guide

  • Hello! I have reviewed the Tech Bulletin providing instructions for wiring the RF remote to a 12 volt power source on a JK Rear View Mirror. It includes details on connecting the red, white, and black wires for backlighting and ground. I am ready to answer your questions about the wiring process and features outlined in this document.
  • What is the RED wire used for?
What are the options for connecting the WHITE wire?
Where should the BLACK wire be connected?

For switch pad backlight
Wiring for the back lighting on the RF switch pad includes 3
wires for connection. The RED is used to back light the
individual switches when they are turned on and should be
connected to switched ignition (Pink/yellow on JK).
The WHITE wire is for the backlighting behind the switches
and can be connected to the headlamp circuit OR to the same
place as the red wire (switched ignition - Pink/yellow on JK).
This allows the backlighting to come on only when the
headlights are on.
The black wire is for ground (Black/white on JK).
