in this manual poses a risk of
death or injury and a risk of
damage to the device.
Risk of electric shock.
General safety instructions
Warning! All instructions must be read.
Failure to comply with the following
instructions can cause electric shock,
burn and/or other serious injury. Adhere
faithfully to these instructions!
Burn hazard! The glue and nozzle reach
a temperature of 200°C. Do not touch the
nozzle or glue. Do not allow the hot glue to
touch people or animals.
In the event of contact with skin,
immediately hold the area under cold
running water for several minutes. Do not
try to remove glue from the skin.

If the electrical cord becomes damaged,
it must be replaced with a special cord.
These are available from the manufacturer
or authorised customer service.
This device is not intended for use by
people (including children) with limited
physical,
sensory or mental capacity or those who
lack experience and/or knowledge.
Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the device.
WARNING! This tool must be kept on its
stand when not in use. Fire hazard!
Before using the device
Use of this device may result in injury and
property damage through fire or electric
shock. Before using the device, you must
therefore check the following: Make sure
that the voltage listed on the glue gun
corresponds to the voltage of the power
supply.
Make sure that the electrical cord (11)
and plug are in proper condition: The
cord and plug must be of the proper
size and intended for the purpose; the
cord must not be tangled or damaged.
Do not use an extension cord that is
longer than necessary for the intended
use!
Never lock the feed switch in place.
Do not use the device in damp
surroundings.
While using the device
The metal glue nozzle gets hot. Be careful
not to touch the glue nozzle. Burn hazard!
Never leave the device unsupervised when
turned on. Fire hazard!
Always use caution when working. Molten
glue is hot and can cause painful burns
to the skin. Due to its viscosity, hot glue
cannot be removed from the skin quickly.
If you cannot prevent contact with molten
glue, rinse the affected areas of the skin
with cold water. This hardens the glue
immediately and helps to limit the effect of
the burn.
Electrical safety
When using electrical devices, adhere to
all locally applicable safety regulations
regarding the risks of fire, electric shock
and injury. Inform yourself of and conform
to those regulations as well as the
instructions provided here.
Always check to see whether your
electrical voltage corresponds to
that shown on the model
designation label.
Protection Class II device –
insulated no ground contact
necessary.
Replacing cables or plugs
If the electrical cord becomes damaged,
it must be replaced with a special cord.
These are available from the manufacturer
or authorised customer service. Dispose
of old cords or plugs immediately after
replacing them with new ones. It is
dangerous to insert the plug from a loose
or damaged cord into an electrical outlet.
Using extension cords
Only use a suitable, certified and
appropriately marked extension cord that
corresponds to the device rating. The core
must be at least 1.5 mm in diameter. If the
cord is on a reel, it must be fully unwound.

3. USING THE DEVICE
You can use this glue gun to adhere many
materials and to do many small repair
and decoration jobs in the home. You can
gently glue plastic, cardboard, textiles,
wood, metals and even glass. In addition,
you can get glue sticks at specialty stores
that are made specifically to permanently
glue materials like wood, leather and
ceramics. These special glue sticks
provide even better results.
Before using
Prepare the surface to be glued:
Do not use any flammable solvents to
clean the gluing surface.
The ambient temperature, and that of
the material being glued, must be no
colder than +5°C and no warmer than
+50°C.
The gluing surfaces must be clean, dry
and free of grease.
Roughen smooth surfaces before
gluing.
For better adhesion, warm up materials
that cool quickly, such as steel.
Mount the stand (6) and screw on the
desired glue nozzle (8). Choose the
glue nozzle that gives you the best
access to the gluing surface.
Working with the cord:
Connect the electrical cord (11) with the 1.
glue gun’s electrical connector (10).
Insert the plug into the electrical outlet.
Fold the stand (6) forward. Set the 2.
device down.
Insert a glue stick into the feed canal 3.
(1).
Allow the device to heat up for about 4 4.
minutes. The device is now ready to
operate.
Working without the cord:
Connect the electrical cord (11) with the 1.
charging station’s electrical connector
(3). Insert the plug into the electrical
outlet.
Place the glue gun into the charging 2.
station (4).
Insert a glue stick into the feed canal 3.
(1).
Allow the device to heat up for about 4 4.
minutes. The device is now ready to
operate.
Repeat the preheating phase if the glue 5.
comes out stiff or gooey.
To remove the glue gun from the charger,
press the glue gun forward and remove it
from the charger. (Fig. D)
Gluing:
Press the feed switch (5) to regulate
the required flow of glue.
Apply the glue in dabs. For flexible 1.
materials, such as textiles, apply the
glue in a zigzag pattern.
After the glue has been applied, 2.
immediately press the two glued pieces
together for about 30 seconds. The
glued surface reaches full strength in
about 5 minutes.
During work interruptions, set the glue 3.
gun on the stand (6) or place it in the
charging station (4).
After cooling, remove any remaining 4.
glue with a sharp knife. The glued
areas become loose again if heated.
Turning the device off:
Pull the plug from the outlet.
Selecting the correct nozzle:
Fig. B
Nozzle 8A: For normal use.
Nozzle 8B: To be used for flat openings
and small areas.
Nozzle 8C: To be used for small holes and
difficult to reach places.
Using the device
9GB/IE/CY
Changing glue nozzles:
Wear protective gloves.
Heat up the device for about 4 minutes.
Change the glue nozzles (8) when they
are warm.
Burn hazard! Touch the glue nozzle only
on the heat protection sheath (9). The tip of
the glue nozzle is hot and can cause burns.

WARNING! Unplug the device
before inspecting or cleaning.
Never clean the glue gun’s
electrical components with water
or other liquids. This could cause
an electric shock.
The hot-melt glue gun is maintenance free.

No liquids should ever get inside the
device. To clean the housing, use a
cloth. Never use petrol (gasoline),
solvents or cleaners that attack plastic.

specialty stores. Be sure they are for the
right purpose and of the right dimensions
(11 mm in diameter).
