LAM1802 Information Sheet
Lamona Touch Control 13 Amp 4 Zone Induction Hob
We recommend that LAM1802 is only purchased if a 32AMP supply in not available and the consumer,
understanding the power restrictions, still wants to purchase an induction hob.
LAM1802 operates on a low power consumption of just 13 amp, allowing for a simple installation in any home. Your
appliance must be connected to fixed wiring via the use of a double pole switched outlet with at least 3mm contact
separation. It can be connected to a standard domestic ring main via a switched fused connection instead of a
dedicated 32amp supply, wired directly to a consumer unit (fuse board), which not all kitchens have.
The LAM1802 is designed to work using a power limit of 3KW, as limited by the 13amp connection, as opposed to
the LAM1801 that has a power limit of 7.2KW from a 32amp connection. When the maximum power of 3KW is
reached, the system will simply stop you from increasing the power further on any zone. When more than one zone
is being used, the power is distributed across the different zones which will result in longer boil / cooking times.
This power distribution is a feature of all 13amp induction hobs on the market and is not a fault of this hob.
Examples For Best Use (examples are using pans containing 1litre of water):
1. Using one zone at a time allows for the quickest boil times:
2. Using two zones at a time lengthens the boil times, examples of best combinations of zones and
power levels:
3. Two zones with pans containing 1ltr of water can
be brought to boil and then lowered to simmer,
up to a power level of 5 (pans require lids to be
on). Once two zones are on simmer, a third zone
can be used on boost with 1ltr of water and this
takes 9.29 minutes to boil.
