SKYPAD SP1026 Firmware Instructions

Operating System Firmware Upgrades: Windows XP (32bit or 64-bit), Windows Vista (32-bit

or 64-bit), Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows 8 (32-bit or 64-bit) are

supported. Linux and Mac OS X supported for transferring files.

Memory

Minimum RAM required by the Operating System.

Hard Disk 4.0 gigabyte (GB) available disk space.

Display 800 x 600 or higher-resolution monitor

Additional USB 2.0 Port support

Tools Needed:

• SP1026 Tablet

• Micro-USB to USB Cable

• SP1026 Firmware Tool (Flash Tool) and Firmware Images

• Laptop or Computer running Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, or 10

1. After downloading your firmware for your device from our website, save it to your desktop or

anywhere where you can easily locate it later.

2. After the download is completed, unzip/extract the download -> after unzipping the download

you will be presented with 3 Folders (Drivers, Firmware, and FlashTool)

3. Once extracted, you may plug in your device into your Laptop/Computer using the Micro-USB

to USB cable. Then navigate through the AutoDriver_Installer folder by double-clicking the

folder. Once you are within the Driver_Auto_Installer folder, right-click onto the “Install” file and

select “Run as administrator” to install the required driver.

4. Once the driver has been successfully installed, return back to the SP1026 Firmware folder.

5. Then open up the FlashTool folder by double-clicking it until you see the “flash_tool.exe” file.

We will now want to open this by double-clicking onto the “flash_tool” program (we recommend

running this program as administrator with OS Windows 7, 8, and 10).

6. You will now want to search for the scatter file which contains the instructions for your firmware

image files. Click on the “Scatter-loading” button to browse for the scatter file.

7. Browse back to your original SP1026 Firmware Folders and locate the

SP1026_Firmware_123022015 folder which will contain your scatter file. Once the you see the

file MT8127_Android_scatter, click on the file and select the “Open button”

8. Finally, once the scatter file has loaded all the required image files, click on the Download

button to begin flashing your device.

9. Once the download has completed, you may unplug your device from your Laptop/Computer

and power on your device.
