Setting Up Your New Smartphone
To get started with your smartphone, follow these steps:
2 Then select your
language from the
dropdown box, then tap
“Start”.
4 Read through the
privacy statement,
then tap
“Accept and continue”
(or amend privacy settings
rst if desired).
6 Your phone is now set
up and ready to use.
(If you have any media
you wish to transfer
from an older phone, tap
migrate and follow the
instructions).

connection
(or skip this step and
set up later if wi isn’t
available).
5 Now you can add or
create a Google account
Or
you can skip this step by
tapping “Skip”
(A Google account isn’t
essential to operate your
phone).

1 First, to turn the phone
on press and hold down
the power button located
in the top right hand side
of the phone.

Adding Contacts To Your Smartphone
With the device locked and the screen o, follow these steps:
1 Press the power
button located on the top
of the right edge of your
phone.
Unlock your phone by
dragging the padlock
symbol to the edge of the
circle.
3 Swipe the screen to
the left or right and then
click the “People” icon.
5 Now ll in your
information and tap
“Done” in the top left of
the screen. Remember to
enter your phone numbers
in full international format
(for example, to enter
Mobal’s support number,
enter +1 212 785 5800)
Repeat these steps as
many times as you wish.
2 Tap the apps icon in
the center of the bottom
section of the screen.
4 Then click
“Create a new contact”.

Making a Call On Your Smartphone
Follow these steps to make a phone call:
1 Unlock your phone
(See step 1 from
previous page).
3 Then on the next
screen tap the keypad
icon.
2 Tap the telephone icon
in the bottom left of the
screen.
4 A number pad will
then appear, input the
phone number (press and
hold the zero key to get
the “+” sign) and tap the
telephone icon to make
the call.

5 Alternatively, if you
have already saved your
contact phone numbers,
you can search for a
contact name. Type the
name of the person you
wish to call into the search
box at the top of the
screen. Tap the name and
then press the telephone
symbol to call them.

Sending a Text Message On Your Smartphone
Follow these steps to send a text message:
1 Unlock your phone.
(See earlier page for
unlocking instructions).
3 Tap the new message
icon in the bottom left of
the screen.
2 Tap the message icon
in the bottom right of the
screen.
4 Type in the phone
number or the name
of the person you are
sending the message
to (remember to enter
your phone number in
full international format,
for example to send a
message to Mobal, type
+12127855000).
Then type out your
message below, when
done, tap the paper plane
icon to send the message.

Charging Your New Smartphone
How to charge your handest:
1 The charging port is
located at the bottom
edge of the phone.
Connect your charger to
the wall outlet and then
connect your charger to
the charging port at the
bottom of your phone.
2 To check your phone
is charging, you should
see this symbol in the top
right hand corner.
The rst time you charge
your phone it is advised
that you charge it until the
battery icon is full. This can
take several hours.
