Sioux Chief 800-A, 800-P Installation guide

  • Hello! I've reviewed the provided Installation Instructions for the Weld One floor drain. The document outlines the necessary steps for a proper install, including securing the drain, connecting the pipe, and preparing the concrete slab. I'm ready to answer any questions you have about installing this floor drain.
  • What size pipe should be used with Weld One?
How should the drain pipe be connected?
What is the purpose of the hub?
What material should be placed around the drain before pouring concrete?
1. Secure the Weld One floor drain in position during ground-rough using re-bar
or wood stakes. Top of stakes should be driven lower than strainer level.
2. Level of strainer should be set at intended level of finish floor.
3. Solvent weld 2” ABS or PVC DWV pipe into drain hub according to solvent
cement / pipe manufacturer’s instructions and connect to drainage system.
Note: The hub of the Weld One is designed to provide proper pitch of ¼"/ft. for
drain pipe when connected properly.
4. Pack gravel around drain and pipe and pour concrete slab according to
design plans and/or local code.
5. Finish concrete area around drain with gentle slope toward drain strainer.
