TIME OF

COMPLIANCE: AT CRANKCASE SEPARATION OR AT NEXT OVERHAUL, WHICHEVER OCCURS FIRST,

NOT TO EXCEED THREE YEARS FROM THE DATE OF LYCOMING SERVICE BULLETIN

NO. 569A; THEREFORE AFFECTED CRANKSHAFTS MUST BE RETIRED BY FEBRUARY

21, 2009.

INTRODUCTION: Lycoming has initiated a crankshaft retirement program. This crankshaft retirement program re-

quires removal of the subject crankshafts (see attached Lycoming bulletin for engine serial num-

bers affected) when the crankcase is separated or at overhaul, whichever occurs first, not to ex-

ceed three calendar years from the date of the attached Lycoming service bulletin, no later than

February 21, 2009.
