ICheq Non-contact Infrared Thermometer
1 Product Description
This product is a Non-contact Infrared Thermometer, a professional human body
temperature measurement and surface temperature measurement instrument. It
can be used to measure the temperature of human body and baby bottles, rice
paste, bath water temperature, room temperature etc. The use of advanced
infrared temperature measurement technology can quickly measure the target
temperature, and intelligent analysis and processing, display the measurement
result in 1 second.
This device must only be used for the purposes described in this instruction
manual.
Note: According to the parts of the body, difference of human skin and difference
in tests, the measured temperature will be different. This is normal. The influence
of parts of the body more exposed by environment temperature, the greater the
influence on the accuracy of the temperature.
2 Advice for First Time Usage
In order to ensure the normal use of non-contact infrared thermometer, please
make sure the batteries are installed in the correct positive and negative pole
directions, before using the instrument. If the batteries are installed in wrong
direction, the instrument may get damaged and will influence the test precision
and make the product not usable.
3 Attention
• Please make sure to remove the hair on the forehead, before measuring, and
wipe the sweat.
• This product use environment temperature is 0℃ ~ 50℃, the optimal
temperature of 25℃, please do not use this product in higher than 50℃ or
lower 0℃ in the environment.
• When using at a location with different ambient temperature, in order to get
the measurement data accurate and reliable, keep the thermometer in the
new usage environmental for 15 - 20 minutes before making measurements.
• For the measurement of human body temperature, please select "Body"
mode, measure the surface temperature of human body. For surface
temperature of objects select "surface" mode. Please confirm that the
distance is measured in the range of 3 to 5 cm.
• In view of the influence of many factors on measurement accuracy, this

product cannot replace the doctor's diagnosis, screening. If readings are
found abnormal, please timely check medical treatment.
4 Product Features

• Unit conversion: degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit can convert each other.
• Automatic shutdown for energy saving: 10 seconds without operation

6.1 Installing Batteries

Please install batteries carefully according to the pole indicated on the
thermometer and on the batteries.
• First use or when installing a new battery, wait for 10 minutes for warm-up
before talking measurements.
• If the thermometer is not in use for a long time, the first start will detect
ambient temperature, and the startup time extended to 2 seconds.
6.2 The Correct Way of Measurement
Align the thermometer at the forehead (between the eyebrows above) and
maintain the vertical distance of 3 to 5 cm., press the switch for temperature
measurement, display shows the measured temperature immediately.
• Before taking measurements, please ensure that no hair, sweat, cosmetics or
hats are covering the measurement area.
• Environment temperature changes affects the forehead temperature or
forehead sweating, then please take measurement from the earlobe.
• Environment temperature at the measured human environment should be in a
stable condition, away from air flow of fan, air conditioning and other large
equipments.
• When the thermometer is moved to an environment with large temperature
difference, the thermometer shall be placed idle and stable for 20 minutes
before measurement.
• If a fever patient is applied with forehead cold compress, other cooling
measures or is sweating, the measurement result will be low. Should avoid
measurement in these cases.
• Suggest doing measurement test 3 times, to display a set of data the most
reliable.
6.3 Description of Keys / Buttons
• MODE key: Select measurement MODE to Body temperature OR Surface
temperature
Setting: Click the MODE button for selection of temperature mode (the LCD
screen display "body" character), and then click gain to select surface mode
(the LCD screen displays the "surface" character).
• SET key main functions are:
• F1: Celsius centigrade and Fahrenheit Fahrenheit selection.
Setting method: Press SET button, screen displays F1, then click
Power-ON/OFF key to select to Celsius degrees or Fahrenheit degrees.
• F2: Buzzer switch
Setting; Press SET button 2 times, screen displays F2, then click Power-
ON/OFF key to switch the buzzer sounds (default is buzzer OFF).

• F4: Clear the data for memory
Press SET button 3 times, screen displays F4, then click Power-ON/OFF
key to clean the memory data.
• F5: Temperature compensation; this function is for manufacturer use
only.
• F6: Alarm temperature setting;
Press SET button 5 times, screen displays F6, then click Power-ON/OFF
key to set the temperature value between 37℃ ~ 42℃ (the default is
38℃).
• MEMO key: This key is to read the historical data record. After each test, the
instrument will record the test data, up to 99 recent historical test data
results.
7 Maintenance
7.1 Battery Replacement
• When the LCD display shows low battery, please replace the batteries.
• When instrument is not used for a long time, remove the battery. To extend
the service life, prevent the battery leakage caused by damage to the
thermometer.
• Note the polarity of battery during installation and replacement. Wrong
installation of batteries may cause damage to the product.
• Avoid the use of rechargeable batteries; Use only single use / non-
rechargeable batteries.
• Do not throw the used batteries into fire
• Dispose or recycle the batteries according to local regulations.
7.2 Service life
The instrument life is about forty thousand measurement cycles.
7.3 Product Maintenance
If the product in use encounters any problem, please follow the maintenance
instructions to find the solution. If the problem still exists, please contact customer
service.
1. LCD displays "HI"
Measured temperature has exceeded the measurement range, or human mode
to measure the temperature above 43℃, or surface mode to measure the
temperature above 100℃.
2. LCD display "LO"
Measured temperature is lower than the measurement range, or human mode

to measure temperature lower than 32℃, or surface mode to measure
temperature lower than 0 ℃.
