. INSTALLATION AND SETUP
1. On the underside of the scale there are two rubber buttons as
shown in drawing "A". Remove the button labeled 1 in the
drawing to expose the overload protection screw. Remove the
screw and replace the rubber button. This screw is provided to
protect the mechanism from damage during transportation.
2. Place the scale on a flat and stable surface.
3. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, heat, fire, frost or drafts etc.
4. If the battery indicator shows in the weight display, recharge the
battery.
5. Ensure the scale is level.
6. Check that there is nothing on the platter.
7. Switch on the scale. When the display shows 0.00 and the Z
enunciator is on, the scale is ready for use.
8. The Scale may require inspection by your local inspector before
use. Be sure to follow the laws for your local area.

0-9 Used to enter the unit price.
kg/lb Used to change scale capacity from pounds to kilograms when
weight is at zero. See next section
CE Clears unit and total price displays back to 0.
T Place empty container on scale and press "T" key to subtract the
weight of the container. The T enunciator lights on the display to
indicate that a tare has been subtracted. If the weight display shows a
minus number after the product has been removed and price has not
been entered, press "T" key to return the weight display to zero and
turn off the tare indicator. If price has been entered transaction must
be completed before tare will clear.
Z Press the "Z" key to return the weight indication to zero. When there
is no weight on the platter and a tare value is not active.

DIGIT DISPLAY
1. Weight: 5 digits with "-" sign to show negative weight for tare.
2. Unit Price: 4 digits with decimal point.
3. Total Price: 6 digits with 2 digits after the decimal point.
4. Letter "Z" : to indicate scale is at gross zero.
5. Letter "T" : to indicate that a tare is active.
6. kg: to indicate price is per kilogram.
7. lb: to indicate price is per pound.

1. Power on scale, the display will have a flashing “lb” or “kg” symbol in the
weight window depending on which mode the scale was in during the last
power off.

4. Press keyboard digit 1 to change to kg mode (“Unit 1” will be displayed) or
press keyboard digit 2 to change to lb mode (“Unit 2” will be displayed.) The
scale will return to normal weighing mode.

III. POWER SUPPLY
The scale may be operated from the AC to 9VDC adapter supplied
or from the rechargeable battery inside the unit.
Current: The scale draws a maximum of .8A when the
battery first starts to charge.
Charging: When initially plugged in, the charging indicator
will be red. While charging, it will appear orange
and turn to green when fully charged.
Battery Life: A fully charged battery will normally last about 180
hours in continuous use.
