2
Ÿ The Activator should be located no more than 50 feet
(cable length) from the Flex Antenna.
Ÿ The Plex Antenna's field is affected by metal; therefore,
the Antenna and should be located at least 4 inches
from any metal including metal studs.
The Flex Antenna is a thin and flexible activation
antenna that is very versitle and has numerous
mounting options: under carpet, behind pictures,
within walls or overhead.

Flex Antenna
Ÿ Orient the Flex Antenna so that the radiation field provides maximum
coverage of the desired area. Keep in mind what will be tracked
with the antenna - personnel will carry Tags in their shirt or pants
pocket, Tags on laptops will be carried closer to the floor.
If mounting the Flex Antenna on the ceiling, mount it flat with the front
surface facing the floor.
Step 4: Position the antenna in its approximate final location - but
do not permanently install it at this time. Have someone
hold or place the antenna in various positions until the
desired
coverage is acheived.
Step 5: Test the system by positioning the LED Test Tag at strategic
points to ensure complete coverage including mounting it to
assets. It will light up and flash when it is within the field.
Step 6: Permanently mount the Flex Antenna.
