IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Read and understand tool labels and all of th e operating instructions, safety precautions and warnings
in this manual before o perating or maintaining this Nailer.
Failure to follow warnings could result in DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY
Mos t accidents that result from the operation and maintenance of Nailers are c aused by the failure to observe basic
safety rules or precautions. An accident can often be avoided by recogniz ing a potentially hazardous sit uation before it
occurs, and by observing appropriate safety procedures.
Basic safety precautions are outlined in the SAFETY section of this Manual and in the sections whic h contain th e
operation and main t enance instructions.
Hazards that must be avoided to p revent bodily injury or mach ine damage are identied by DANGERS and WARNINGS
on the Nailer and in this Manu al.
NEVER use this Nailer for appl ications other than those specied in this Manual.
DEFINITIONS OF SIGNAL WORDS
DANGER ind icates an im minently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING indicates a potentially hazardous si tuation which, if not avoided, could resul t in death or ser ious inju ry.
CAUTION indicates a potentially hazardous situ ation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury, o r
may cause machine dam age.
NOTE em phasizes essential information.
EXPLANATION OF TH E NAILING ACTION OF THE HITACHI NAILER
SINGLE SEQUENTI A L ACTUATION MECHAN ISM:
First, pres s the push lever against the wood; next, pull the trigger to drive t he fastener.
After nailing once, nail ing will not be possible again unt il the Trig ger is released and pressed again.
CONTACT ACTUATION MECHANISM:
First, pres s the push lever against the wood; next, pull the trigger to drive t he fastener.
Or, pull the trigger; next, press the push lever against the wood to drive the fastener.
If the Trigger is held back, a nail will be driven each time the Push Lever is pressed against the wood.
