Welcome to the NGM world. Thank you for purchasing
NGM Flip. With this device you can easily make phone
calls, send and receive SMS. Thanks to the SOS button
you can start an automatic call procedure to some
previously set numbers in case of emergency.
By visiting the official website www.ngm.eu you can
browse through
the whole range of NGM mobile
phones, ask for assistance, access the forum for
technical assistance and download software updates.

Insert SIM card: The SIM card contains your phone number, PIN
code, links to operator services, contacts and SMS messages. To
access the compartment containing the SIM slot, turn off the
phone and slide down the cover. Remove the battery. Insert the
SIM card into the slot with its gold contacts facing downwards.

Insert memory card: in order to use camera and media player
functions of NGM Flip, a SD card is necessary (maximum 8 GB, not
included in the package): the card must be placed onto the
backside of the phone, over the SIM slot. Slide in SD card, as
shown below, with the gold contacts facing downwards.
Lock/Unlock the metallic grid by sliding it horizontally sideways.
Camera: to activate the camera, from the main menu press the
key. Take a photo pressing the Camera key again. By using
Options you can access to various camera settings and you can
switch to Camcorder.
Connecting to a PC: use the USB cable to connect NGM Flip to a
computer. Select USB Storage on your phone. You can save songs
to play with the music player in the "My Music" folder, on the SD
card.

Inserting the Battery: your device is provided with a lithium-ion
battery and is designed to be used exclusively with original NGM
batteries and chargers. The battery must be inserted into the
backside of the phone. Insert the battery into the battery
compartment with the contacts facing down, matching with those
of the phone. When done, put the hind cover back into position as
shown in the following illustrations.

Charging the battery: Charge the battery before starting to use
the device. Connect the charger to a wall socket and then plug the
jack into the charging base (wait a few moments until the red
charging led on the base lights up before inserting the phone) or
plug it directly into the micro USB port on the bottom part of the
phone. Wait a few seconds for the notification led on the phone
to start blinking in blue; when the charging base notification led
becomes green, the charging process is completed and the phone
can be disconnected from the base.
Warning: To preserve the functionality of the product and the
integrity of the warranty, we recommend the use of original NGM
chargers. Please charge the battery indoors, in a dry and favorable
environment. It is normal for the battery to get slightly warm
during the charging process. The battery will reach its full capacity
when cycled several times.

Turn ON, Turn OFF and keypad lock: To turn on and off the
phone, press and hold the red end call key. The keyboard locks by
closing the phone, but you can still choose a period of time after
which the keyboard locks itself automatically when the phone is
open in Menu > Settings > Security > Auto keyboard lock. To
unlock the keyboard press the Unlock key (above the call key) and
#.
FM radio: NGM Flip has an internal radio antenna so you don’t
need to plug in earphones in order to listen to the radio. To turn
on and turn off the radio, press the FM button . By selecting
Options you have access to the following functions:
- Channel list to manually browse through saved channels
- Manual input for manually search radio channels
- Auto search for the automatic search of radio stations.

Use 2 and 8 keys for the manual search, 6 and 4 for automatic
search and 5 to pause and resume.
Torch: to turn on and off the torch, from the main screen press
and hold the key.
Main Menu
To access the Main Menu on your phone, press the selection key
on the top left.
- Messaging: write and read SMS
- Phonebook: manage and save contacts
- Calls: call settings
- Multimedia: camera, radio, gallery…
- User profiles: set and change audio profiles
- Settings: customize your phone
- Extra: with Calendar, To Do, Alarm and Calculator
- SOS: to enable and customize the SOS function
Home Screen

Making a call: to make a call from the Home screen, select the
desired number by using the keypad and then press the green call
button. To end the call, press the red end call key.
Call a number from phonebook: from the main screen, press the
upper right selection key; this will automatically open the
Phonebook. Scroll through the contacts with the UP and DOWN
keys and press the green button to call the desired contact (with
the volume keys you can scroll through the tabs showing: All
Contacts, Phone only and SIM only contacts).
Call a number from the call log: from the main screen, press the
green call key to view the missed, received, and outgoing calls.
Scroll them through with the UP and DOWN keys and press twice
the green call button when you found the number you want to
call.

Add contacts to Phonebook
Select Menu > Phonebook > Add new contact, choosing to save
the number on the SIM or Phone. Press Options > Edit to enter
the name and the new number, then press Options > Save.
Speed dial: in Menu > Phonebook > Options > Phonebook
settings > Speed Dial > Set Number, you can assign to the 2-9 keys
phone numbers that will be called automatically if you press and
hold the related button. This feature can be turned on and off
under Status.
Memory status: This feature allows you to view how much free
storage locations there is left in phone and SIM card.
Voice dialer: NGM Flip speaks out each key you press. To disable
this feature, select Menu > Settings > Phone settings > Voice
dialer and select on/off.

Send and read SMS. Send SMS: From the main screen, choose
Menu> Messaging > Write message and write your message.
Press Options > Send to > Enter number and enter the number
using the numeric keypad or Add from phonebook to select from
Phonebook the contact to which send the message.
Read SMS: when you receive a new text message, it displays an
envelope icon in the top bar (as long as the message hasn’t been
read) and a notification pop up appears on the main screen. Press
the upper left selection key to enter the Inbox or access it from
the main screen by selecting Menu > Messages > Inbox. In the
messaging menu you can access additional features such as SMS
Templates, short preset messages, and Memory status, within
SMS Settings you can control how many messages there are
saved on the phone and on the SIM card.

SOS function: NGM Flip is equipped with a dedicated key for
automatically making emergency calls (*). This feature can be
turned on and off by selecting Menu > SOS > Activating.
The SOS key is located in the keypad, below the 0 Key.
In Menu > SOS > Call waiting time, you can decide if activating the
SOS Function immediately, or after long pressing the key for 5 or
10 seconds.
In case of emergency, the user can use this function to ask for
help up to five phone numbers that have been previously set in
Menu > SOS > SOS numbers.
As soon as the SOS function has been activated, the phone will
send out a high volume alarm. So, it will send an SOS message to
the SOS numbers set in Menu > SOS > SMS Recipients.

Then, the phone will call the five SOS numbers, for about 20
seconds for each. If at the end of the cycle there was no response,
the phone will wait for about 30 seconds and then launch a
second cycle of calls. This procedure will be repeated for 5 times.
If one of the called numbers answers, the cycle will be interrupted
and the call will automatically switch to speakerphone.
Warning: The SOS calls cycle will be interrupted if the answering
machine of one of the called SOS numbers takes the call.

Set Ringtones Select Menu > User Profiles > General > Options>
Customize. Select Ringtone and set the desired tone from those
available.
Notification Led: will flash blue when the phone is
charging, if there is a missed call or an unread SMS.
+ will alternately flash red and blue if there is an
incoming call.
Quickly turn on/off vibration mode: to quickly turn off the calls
and messages ringtones, and activate vibration, press and hold #.
By pressing again #, the phone will enter in General mode.
Phone Settings: from Menu > Settings > Phone , you will access to
various settings such as Date and Time, Language, and Display.
Select Restore factory settings to reset the factory settings of
NGM Flip: enter the phone password 1122 to confirm the reset.
