TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

FOR YOUR SAFETY

Please read the following instructions and keep them on hand for later

reference.

1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and

above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental

capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have

been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the

appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user

maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

2. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless con-

tinuously supervised.

EXPLANATION OF SYMBOLS

This symbol denotes a possible hazard which could cause injury or damage to

the appliance.

This symbol indicates a potential burning hazard. Please be especially careful

at all times here.

This symbol alerts to hazards if the appliance is operated in containers filled

with water, or in the vicinity of containers filled with water.

3. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only

switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed

or installed in its intended normal operating position and they

have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the

appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug

in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user mainte-

nance.

CAUTION – Some parts of this product can become very hot and

cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children

and vulnerable people are present.

5. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play

with the appliance.

6. Connect appliance only to an AC power supply with voltage as

specified on the rating plate.

7. Do not operate this appliance with an external timer or remote

control system.

8. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Protect

the appliance from moisture.

9. For safety reasons never use the appliance in the vicinity of a

bath tub or sink filled with water, or in the vicinity of other ves

-

sels filled with water.

10.

Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact with hot

parts.

11. To unplug the appliance, only pull on the plug, never pull directly

on the power cord.

12. Always ensure that the power cord is laid out its entire length to

prevent damage due to overheating.

13. As additional protection, we recommend installation of a resid-

ual current device (RCD/FI) with a tripping characteristic of not

more than 30 mA in the bathroom power circuit. Consult with

your electrician.

The appliance is intended for household use only; it is not

designed for commercial requirements.

15. Do not use the appliance outdoors.

16. During operation, leave sufficient space between the appliance

and walls and other flammable objects such as curtains.

17. Do not operate the appliance in the vicinity of heat sources.

18. Ensure that the air intake grille in the appliance is unobstructed

at all times. Clean the air inlet grille at regular intervals.

19. Never cover the air inlet grille or the air outlet opening with your

hand or other objects.

20. If you have curlers, hairpins or similar items in your hear, ensure

that they do not project more than 10 mm, to avoid contact with

energised parts of the hair dryer.

21. For safety reasons, do not use the appliance to dry artificial hair.

22. To avoid burns, never aim the hot air flow directly at your face.

23. Do not use any hair sprays while the appliance is in operation.

24. Switch off the appliance before you set it down.

25. The appliance is equipped with an overheating protection circuit.

If operated for too long, the appliance switches off automatically

to prevent damage to the appliance. After an appropriate cool-

down time, you can place the appliance in service again.

26. After use or prior to cleaning the appliance, always switch off

and unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet and allow it

to cool.

27. As long as the plug is in the electrical outlet, even if the appli

-

ance is switched off, the appliance poses a hazard in the vicinity

of water.

Do not insert any objects into the appliance, due to the ensuing

damage, there is danger of electric shock.

29. Only use the appliance for the purposes described in these

instructions.

30. To avoid damage, do not use the appliance with accessories of

other manufacturers or brands.

31. Never open the housing of the appliance. This can result in elec-

tric shock.

Check the plug and the power cord regularly for wear or dam-

age. In case of damage to the power cord or other parts, please

send the appliance for inspection and/or repair to our customer

service organisation. Unauthorised repairs can result in serious

risks to the user and will void the warranty.

Caution! The appliance is very hot during and after operation!

Never open the housing of the appliance. There is danger of

electric shock.

For safety reasons never use the appliance close to or in a bath

-

tub or washbasin or any other container filled with water. If the

hair dryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it from the wall socket

after use, since nearby water presents a danger even when the

hair dryer is switched off.

1. Remove all packaging materials and any transport safety devices. Keep

packaging material out of reach of children. Danger of suffocation!

2. After washing your hair, dry it thoroughly with a towel.

3. Connect the plug to a wall socket.

4. Switch the appliance on using and select the desired blower and heat set-

tings. The following settings may be selected:

EIN/AUS (ON/OFF) switch and blower:

0 = off

1 = soft air stream, ideal to style your hair

2 = medium air stream for drying and styling

Heat setting switch:

1 = lukewarm, ideal for nearly dry hair

2 = warm, ideal to dry damp hair

3 = hot, ideal to dry wet hair

5. The cool shot serves to stabilise the styling and give more body. Keep the

cool shot button pressed during operation to obtain a cold air stream.

6. If desired, following accessories may be used:

Concentrator

The concentrator allows for drying hair parts individually and precisely. After

use the concentrator can be simply detached from the appliance. In order to

avoid burns it is nevertheless recommended to wait until the appliance and

the attachment has cooled off.

Diffuser

The diffuser gives the hair more volume, nature curls and permanent waves

more body and a natural look.

Knead your hair with your fingers while drying them with the diffuser

attached to the appliance.

Only use only the lower blower and heat settings.

The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if

repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.

ION TECHNOLOGY

Your new hair dryer uses ion technology. A generator inside the appliance pro-

duces negative ions, which makes your hair easier to comb and avoids static

charge. The ions enclose humidity in your hair, makes it shiny and more volu-

minous.

Unplug the appliance from the wall socket.

Let the appliance cool off.

Never immerse the appliance or the lead cable in water or other

liquids to clean them.

1. Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance to prevent damage to the

power cord.

2. The appliance has a suspension eye via which you can hang up the appliance.

3. Protect the appliance from dust.

CLEANING AND CARE

Unplug the appliance from the wall socket.

Let the appliance cool off.

Never immerse the appliance or the lead cable in water or other

liquids to clean them.

1. Detach the air intake screen by fold it up.

Clean the screen from dust and fluff using a paint brush

or a small brush. Reattach the air intake screen by slide

down until it latches into place. If necessary, separate

the filter from the screen and rinse it with water. The

filter must be completely dry before using the appli-

ance again. Reattach the filter to the screen taking into

account that the convex side faces the screen and reat-

tach the screen to the hair dryer as described above.

2. Clean the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.

3. Do not use any scrubbing sponges, abrasive agents, steel wool, metal objects,

disinfectants or hot cleaning agents, since they can damage the appliance.

4. The concentrator and the diffuser can be rinsed with water, if necessary.

The attachable accessories must be completely dry before using them again.

STORAGE

Both attachments can be easily detached by pulling. In order to avoid burns

it is nevertheless recommended to wait until the appliance and the attach-

ments have cooled off.

Caution! The appliance is very hot during and after operation!

WASTE DISPOSAL / ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

We guarantee our appliances for 24 months, or in case of commercial use for 12 months, from the date of purchase in case of

defects that occur during normal use and are demonstrably due to a factory fault. Within the warranty period we will remedy

defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option. Our warranty terms apply only to appliances

sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy

of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged and postage paid, together with a copy

of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. If the

defect is covered by the warranty, the customer will be reimbursed for the shipping costs only in Germany and Austria. The

warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care

instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties. Any claims of the end

consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.

Our appliances are produced on a high quality level for a long lifetime. Regular maintenance and expert

repairs by our after-sales service can extend the useful life of the appliance. If an appliance is defective

and repair is not possible we ask you to follow the following instructions for disposal. Do not dispose this

appliance together with your standard household waste. Please bring this product to an approved collection

point for recycling of electric and electronic products. By separate collection and disposal of waste products

you help to protect natural resources and ensure, that the product is disposed in an adequate way to protect

health and environment.
