Before using the appliance, please read the
following instructions carefully and keep this
manual for future reference.  e appliance
must only be used by persons familiar with
these instructions.
Connection to the mains supply

an earthed socket installed in accordance
with the regulations. Make sure that the
supply voltage corresponds with the voltage
marked on the rating label of the appliance.

Important safety instructions
Before the appliance is used, the main z
body as well as any attachments  tted
should be checked thoroughly for any
defects. If the appliance, for instance, has
been dropped onto a hard surface, it must
no longer be used: even invisible damage
may have adverse e ects on its operational
safety.

examined for any signs of damage. In the
event of such damage being found, the
appliance must no longer be used.
Do not operate the appliance if excessive z
force has been used to pull the power
cord. Damage cannot always be detected
from the outside; the entire unit should
therefore be checked by a quali ed
technician before it is used again.

Do not leave the milk frother unattended z

maximum level marks inside the container
for each application.
e protrusion in the bottom of the z
container (min. level mark) must be
covered by the milk. If there is not enough
milk, the appliance may overheat.
To prevent such overheating, the z
appliance will automatically switch o if it
is operated when empty.
Over lling the container may cause z

danger if frothing milk is forced out.
Caution: z e lid with insert must be
tted during operation.

during operation. Do not touch hot
surfaces.
Hold the container only by its handle.

original accessory parts provided by the

plates.

Before using for the  rst time
Remove any packaging materials and check
that all components are present.
Before the appliance is used for the  rst
time, or a er extended periods of non-use, it
should be thoroughly cleaned as described in
the section General Care and Cleaning.
Operation
We recommend the use of long-life low-fat
milk (UTF, 1.5% fat content). For best results,
the milk should be taken from the refrigerator
immediately before frothing.
e underside of the container and the contact
area on the inside of the base must be clean
and dry.
Choosing the stirring head
Use the smooth stirring head to heat up
milk.
For frothing and heating milk at the same
time, use the serrated head.
For cold-frothing milk, also use the
serrated head.
When not in use, the stirring heads may be
safely stored at the rear of the housing.
Fill amounts
Always observe the minimum mark and
ensure the container is  lled with at least
100 ml milk.
For frothing,  ll the container to a
maximum of 350 ml (lower max mark
).
For heating,  ll the container to a
maximum of 700 ml (upper max mark
).
Heating up or frothing milk
1. Place the container onto the base.
2. Remove the lid from the milk
container.
3. Place the appropriate head onto the
mounting protrusion inside the bottom
of the container.
4. Put the required amount of milk into
the container.

5. Place the lid and insert on the
container.
6. Insert the plug into a suitable wall
socket. A beep signal is heard and the
65° C indicator starts  ashing.
7. Use the temperature selection button to
set the desired temperature or the cold-
frothing function (blue dot symbol).

A er a beep signal is heard, the indicator
light for the selected temperature
function shows a steady light and the
cooling system of the motor is heard to
start up.
A moment later, the appliance starts
to stir the milk. Once the milk is
su ciently hot or the cold-frothing
process is complete, both heating and
stirring processes stop automatically.
e indicator light for the selected
temperature function  ashes, and a
number of beep signals are heard.
8. You can now remove the milk container
from the base. Use a suitable spoon to
take o the milk froth.
e cooling system continues to run for
a brief period.
e temperature indicator lamp stops
ashing a er about three minutes.
Remarks
If the appliance has not been disconnected
from the mains , the On/O switch must be
pressed twice to start a new operating cycle.
A er a heating cycle, the appliance cannot
start a new stirring and heating cycle
immediately, but must be allowed to cool
down  rst.
A er a cold-frothing cycle, a new stirring and
heating cycle may be started immediately.
Making cocoa
e appliance is also suitable for preparing
cocoa drinks. Proceed as described in the
section Heating up or frothing milk. Fit the
smooth stirring head and set the temperature
selector to 60° C. As soon as the milk has
been heated to 60° C (as indicated by the
corresponding beep signals), take o the lid
insert and add the required amount of cocoa
powder. Now set the temperature selector to
65° C and press the On/O switch again.
To prevent any blockage or congestion, do
not use grated chocolate or chocolate  akes
when making cocoa.
Interrupting or ending a cycle
Press the On/O switch to stop the heating
and stirring process:  e main indicator
lamp starts  ashing and the motor cooling
system can be heard.
To continue the heating and stirring process,
Press the On/O switch again.
Switching the appliance o
Remove the plug from the wall outlet to turn
the appliance o completely.
Hint
To achieve a thicker froth, go through a
cold-frothing cycle  rst, followed by a hot-
frothing cycle.
General Care and Cleaning
Always remove the plug from the wall z
socket and wait until the motor has come
to a complete standstill before cleaning
the appliance.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not z
clean the base or the power cord with
water and do not immerse them.
e container, stirring heads and lid may z
be cleaned with hot water and a little
detergent.  e attachment parts are also
dishwasher-safe.
Wipe all parts thoroughly dry.
e base may be cleaned with a damp
cloth and a little detergent.
Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning z
solutions.

Disposal
Do not dispose of old or defective
appliances in domestic garbage;
this should only be done through
public collection points.
Guarantee
is product is guaranteed against defects
in materials and workmanship for a period
of two years from the date of purchase.
Under this guarantee the manufacturer
undertakes to repair or replace any parts
found to be defective, providing the product
is returned to one of our authorised service
centres.  is guarantee is only valid if the
appliance has been used in accordance with
the instructions, and provided that it has not
been modi ed, repaired or interfered with
by any unauthorised person, or damaged
through misuse.

and tear, nor breakables such as glass and

carefully, enclosing your name and address
