Avoiding mould and unpleasant odours

oftime,cleantheinsideandleavethedoorsopen.
I Care function
TheI Care function can be enabled to optimise energy
consumption.Press and hold down the SUPERCOOL and
REFRIGERATOROPERATIONbuttonssimultaneouslyforatleast
6secondstoenablethisfunction.
Onenablingthefunction,4indicatorlightswillgoonfor2seconds:
SUPERCOOLlight,SUPERFREEZElightandtwotemperature
lights-onefortherefrigeratorandoneforthefreezer.
After5secondstheinterfacewillentertheenergysavingmode
andtheindicatorlightswillgooff.Theinterfacestaysoffeven
whenthedoorisopened.Justpressanybuttontoswitchiton
again.Presstheadjustmentbuttonstochangethetemperature.
Consumptionwillbe optimised 48h after the function was
enabled.TodisabletheICarefunction,switchofftheproduct
(seedescription). The product can be switched on again for
normaloperation.
Inhumidenvironments,whentheICarefunctionisenabled,slight
condensationmayformonthedoors;normaloperatingconditions
arerestoredwhenthefunctionisdisabled.
Replacing the light bulb
Thankstothepowerfullightitemits,thenewLEDlightingsystem
offersaclearviewofallfoods,withnoshadowyareas.IftheLED
needstobereplaced,pleasecontacttheTechnicalAssistance
Service.

withinternationalsafetystandards.Thefollowingwarningsare
providedforsafetyreasonsandmustbereadcarefully.

General safety
• Theappliancewasdesignedfordomesticuseinsidethehome
andisnotintendedforcommercialorindustrialuse.
• Theappliancemustbeusedtostoreandfreezefoodproducts
byadultsonlyandaccordingtotheinstructionsinthismanual.
• Theappliancemustnotbeinstalledoutdoors,evenincovered
areas.It is extremely dangerous to leave the appliance
exposedtorainandstorms.
• Donottouchtheappliancewithbarefeetorwithwetormoist
handsandfeet.
• Donottouchtheinternalcoolingelements:thiscouldcause
skinabrasionsorfrost/freezerburns.
• Whenunpluggingtheappliancealwayspulltheplugfromthe
mainssocket,donotpullonthecable.
• Isnotsufficienttoswitch-offoftheproducttoeliminateallthe
electricalconnections.
• Inthecaseofamalfunction,undernocircumstancesshould
youattempttorepairtheapplianceyourself.Repairscarried
outby inexperienced persons may cause injury or further
malfunctioningoftheappliance.
• Donotuseanysharporpointedutensilsorelectricalequipment
-otherthanthetyperecommendedbythemanufacturer-inside
thefrozenfoodstoragecompartments.
• Donotputicecubestakendirectlyfromthefreezerintoyour
mouth.
• Thisapplianceisnotintendedforusebypersons(including
children)withreducedphysical,sensoryorlackofexperience
andknowledge unless they have been given supervision
orinstructionconcerninguseofthe appliancebyaperson
responsiblefortheirsafety.Childrenshouldbesupervisedto

Disposal

reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
Thecrossedout“wheeledbin”symbolontheproductreminds
youofyourobligation,thatwhenyoudisposeoftheappliance
itmustbeseparatelycollected.Consumers should contact
theirlocalauthorityorretailerforinformationconcerningthe
correctdisposaloftheiroldappliance.
Respecting and conserving the
environment
• Installtheapplianceinafreshandwell-ventilatedroom.Ensure
thatitisprotectedfromdirectsunlightanddonotplaceitnear
heatsources.
• Trytoavoidkeepingthedooropenforlongperiodsoropening
thedoortoofrequentlyinordertoconserveenergy.
• Do not fill the appliance with too much food: cold air must
circulatefreelyforfoodtobepreservedproperly.Ifcirculation
isimpeded,thecompressorwillworkcontinuously.
• Donotplacehotfooddirectlyintotherefrigerator.Theinternal
temperaturewillincreaseandforcethecompressortowork
harderandwillconsumemoreenergy.
Troubleshooting
Iftheappliancedoesnotwork,beforecallingforAssistance(see
Assistance),checkforasolutionfromthefollowinglist.
Any indicator lights do not illuminate.
•IfthefunctionICareisnotactive(seesection),theplughasnot
beeninsertedintotheelectricalsocket,ornotfarenoughto
makecontact,orthereisnopowerinthehouse.
The motor does not start.
• The appliance comes with a motor protection control (see
Start-upanduse).
The indicator lights are on but the light is dim.
• Pulloutandreversetheplugbeforeputtingitbackinthesocket.
