Husky Reflections Drinks Cooler
Owner Manual
To ensure safe operation, please read this instruction manual thoroughly before use.
Welcome to your new drinks cooler
Thank you for buying this drinks cooler. It has been designed and manufactured
for many years of trouble-free service.
Operation is very simple, but please take a few minutes to read this booklet.
It contains important safety information, and tips to ensure you receive the
best possible service from your drinks cooler.
IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS APPLIANCE IS TO BE USED EXCLUSIVELY FOR
THE STORAGE OF DRINKS. This drinks cooler uses thermoelectric tech-
nology to cool drinks to approximately 15°C below ambient temperature,
to a minimum of 8°C. It is not intended to operate like, or compete with,
a conventional compressor-driven refrigerator. THIS MODEL IS NOT
SUITABLE FOR THE STORAGE OF FOOD.
WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD
USERS IN EUROPE This unit must be earthed.
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified engineer
to avoid shock hazard. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SERVICE THE ITEM YOURSELF. Ensure
that the appliance is properly earthed. Stop using the appliance immediately
if electric shock is felt when touching the cooler.
DISPOSAL OF OLD DRINKS COOLERS
BE SURE TO MAKE ANY LOCKS UNUSABLE. IF POSSIBLE, REMOVE THE
DOOR(S) AND DISCARD SEPARATELY.
WARNING – CHEMICAL HAZARD: DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO PLAY WITH
THE OLD APPLIANCE. CONTACT YOUR LOCAL AUTHORITY FOR PROPER
DISPOSAL PROCEDURES.
Before disposing of an old appliance, please make sure it is switched off and
safe. Unplug the appliance and break any locks in order to avoid children
becoming trapped.
Please note: compressor-driven refrigeration systems may contain gases
and refrigerants which require specialist waste disposal. The valuable
materials contained in a refrigerator can be recycled. Contact your local waste
disposal depot for proper disposal of an old appliance and contact your local
authority or dealer if you have any questions. Please ensure the pipework of
your refrigerator is not damaged prior to disposal. You can contribute to
environmental awareness by insisting on an appropriate non-polluting
method of disposal.
DISPOSAL OF PACKAGING
All the packaging materials with your drinks cooler may be disposed of
without danger to the environment. The cardboard may be broken or cut into
smaller pieces and given to a waste paper disposal service. The wrapping foil
is made of polyethylene. The polyethylene pads and stuffing contain no
fluorochloric hydrocarbons. All these valuable materials may be taken to a
waste collecting depot and used again after adequate recycling. Consult your
local authority for the name and address of the waste paper disposal services
nearest to you.

4 HUSKY REFLECTIONS DRINKS COOLER
SPECIFICATIONS
This appliance is designed as a cooler for drinks and other beverages,
NOT food.
It is intended strictly for domestic use.
HOW TO MINIMISE THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF YOUR
HUSKY DRINKS COOLER
Your drinks cooler should be located in the coolest area of the room, away
from sources of heat, and out of the direct sunlight. One characteristic of
thermoelectric units is the length of time it requires to recover from having
the door opened and shut frequently. It may be necessary to wait longer for
the temperature to return to its former level once the door has been opened
for too long. This is normal for this type of unit.
Energy consumption will be lower if the unit stands in a well
ventilated space and in particular if vent at the back of the unit is
clear of obstruction.
For good circulation, the vents must not be blocked.
Keep the door closed as much as possible to lessen the escape of
cold air.
Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight or a heat source such
as ovens, radiators, heaters, etc.
For better air circulation, do not overfill the cabinet - overfilling
means that the cool air cannot circulate freely inside the cabinet
which may slow the process of cooling and make the cabinet less
efficient.
Turn the appliance off completely if it is not required for a period of
days or longer to avoid wasting energy.
BASIC OPERATION
It is recommended you install the drinks cooler in a place where the
ambient temperature is between 23º-26ºC/72º-78ºF. If the ambient
temperature is outside this range, the performance of the unit may be
affected. Placing your unit in extreme cold or hot conditions may cause
interior temperatures to fluctuate and the range of 8º-18ºC/46º-65ºF
may not be achieved.
Temperature range for your cooler: 8-18°C/46-64°F
Allow 50mm clear space all round the unit for adequate ventilation.
Your drinks cooler should be placed on a flat and firm surface for
quieter operation. If the appliance is to be placed on carpet, support
it with a wooden board underneath. Be aware that placing the
appliance on carpet may cause the carpet to fade.
Do not under any circumstances place heated beverages or food in
your drinks cooler.
Adjust the temperature regulator according to the amount of product
and the ambient temperature.

Control panel
Your drinks cooler is fitted with an automatic control panel lock that activates
12 seconds after the last time a button has been touched. To unlock the panel
press the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously for three seconds. You will
hear a ‘beep’. The panel is now active for 12 seconds.
Setting the temperature control
Unlock the control panel first (see above). Once active, you can display the
temperature in either Celsius or Fahrenheit by pressing the °F/°C button. The
appropriate indicator will illuminate. You may set the temperature as you
wish by pressing the UP or DOWN buttons on the control panel. The set
temperature will increase by 1ºF or 1ºC for each depression of the UP button.
The temperature will decrease by 1ºF or 1ºC for each depression of the DOWN
button.
This drinks cooler is capable of storing wine. For red wine the temperature
will ideally be set between 14-18°C (57-65ºF), and for white wine the
temperature will ideally be set between 9-14°C (49-58ºF).
NOTE: When you use the appliance for the first time or restart it after having
been turned off for a long time, there may be a few degrees difference
between the temperature you select and the one indicated on the LED
readout. This is normal. Once the cooler has been running for a few hours the
display will stabilise.
Capacity
40 litres capacity capable of storing up to 16 x standard-sized 75cl bottles.
As bottles differ widely in size the actual number of bottles may vary.
Interior light
To turn the interior light ON or OFF, first unlock the control panel (see above),
then push the button marked with the “Light” symbol. The light will turn off
automatically after 10 minutes.
