Use the correct tool for your application. The correct tool will do the job better
and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
Do not use the Ultrasonic Cleaner if the power switch will not start and/or
completely stop the action of this tool. Any tool that cannot be controlled with
the power switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
Store out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with
the Ultrasonic Cleaner or these instructions to operate this tool. Tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Before use, check for any condition that may affect the tool’s operation. If
damaged, have the tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained tools.
Do not overload the Ultrasonic Cleaner. Use this Ultrasonic Cleaner in accordance
with these instructions and in the manner intended for the particular type of tool,
taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of
the Ultrasonic Cleaner for operations different from those intended could result

SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
WARNING! To prevent serious injury and/or property damage:
Never use volatile solvents to clean objects in the Ultrasonic Cleaner. Never
use gasoline or other ammable liquids.
Maintain labels and nameplates. These carry important information. If unreadable
or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.
Do not use the Ultrasonic Cleaner in areas near ammable chemicals, dusts,
and vapors. Do not use in damp or wet conditions.
Never immerse the Ultrasonic Cleaner in liquid.
Do not place or store where it can fall or be pulled into a tub, sink, or other
free-standing pool of water.
Do not submerge non-waterproof products into the Ultrasonic Cleaner.
Do not use for any medical purposes or for medical sanitizing.
Do not use penetrating oils in the UItrasonic Cleaner as they may damage the
Cleaner and any materials being cleaned.
Do not overload the Cleaner Tank (1). Fill water to the marked ll line.
Do not clean multiple objects at once. Cleaning more than one object at a time
will cause them to bang against one another, damaging the articles being cleaned
as well as the tank.
Do not use the Ultrasonic Cleaner if the tank is empty of cleaning uid. The
cleaning uid level must be higher than the height of the object being cleaned.
Do not use a cleaning agent that will bubble or suds up over the edges of the
cleaning tank.
Use only lukewarm water. Excessively hot water will damaged the transducer.
People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use.
Electromagnetic elds in close proximity to heart pacemaker could cause
pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure.
The warnings, cautions and instructions discussed in this manual cannot
cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be
understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors

GROUNDING
Improperly connecting the grounding wire can result in electric
shock.
Check with a qualied electrician if you are in doubt as to whether
the outlet is properly grounded. Do not modify the power cord plug
provided with the tool. Never remove the grounding prong from the
plug. Do not use the tool if the power cord or plug is damaged. If
damaged, have it repaired by a service facility before use. If the plug
will not t the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualied
electrician.
Grounded Tools: Tools with Three Prong Plugs
Tools marked with “Grounding Required” have a three wire cord and three prong
grounding plug. The plug must be connected to a properly grounded outlet. If
the tool should electrically malfunction or break down, grounding provides a low
resistance path to carry electricity away from the user, reducing the risk of electric
shock. (See 3-Prong Plug and Outlet.)
The grounding prong in the plug is connected through the green wire inside the
cord to the grounding system in the tool. The green wire in the cord must be the
only wire connected to the tool’s grounding system and must never be attached to
an electrically “live” terminal. (See 3-Prong Plug and Outlet.)
The tool must be plugged into an appropriate outlet, properly installed and
grounded in accordance with all codes and ordinances. The plug and outlet
should look like those in the following illustration. (See 3-Prong Plug and Outlet.)

For technical questions, please call 1-800-444-3353.
Double Insulated Tools: Tools with Two Prong Plugs
Tools marked “Double Insulated” do not require grounding. They have a special
double insulation system which satises OSHA requirements and complies with the
applicable standards of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., the Canadian Standard
Association, and the National Electrical Code. (See Outlets for 2-Prong Plug on
previous page.)
Double insulated tools may be used in either of the 120 volt outlets shown in the
preceding illustration. (See Outlets for 2-Prong Plug.)
Extension Cords
Grounded tools require a three wire extension cord. Double Insulated tools can
use either a two or three wire extension cord.
As the distance from the supply outlet increases, you must use a heavier gauge
extension cord. Using extension cords with inadequately sized wire causes a serious
drop in voltage, resulting in loss of power and possible tool damage.
(See Table A.)
The smaller the gauge number of the wire, the greater the capacity of the cord. For
example, a 14 gauge cord can carry a higher current than a 16 gauge cord.
(See Table A.)
When using more than one extension cord to make up the total length, make sure
each cord contains at least the minimum wire size required. (See Table A.)
If you are using one extension cord for more than one tool, add the nameplate
amperes and use the sum to determine the required minimum cord size.
(See Table A.)
If you are using an extension cord outdoors, make sure it is marked with the sufx
“W-A” (“W” in Canada) to indicate it is acceptable for outdoor use.
Make sure the extension cord is properly wired and in good electrical condition.
Always replace a damaged extension cord or have it repaired by a qualied
electrician before using it.
Protect the extension cords from sharp objects, excessive heat, and damp or wet
areas.
