Familiarícese con las funciones del apa-
rato antes del primer uso e infórmese
acerca de las directrices sobre el mane-jo
de herramientas eléctricas. Lea las siguientes ins-
trucciones de uso. Guarde convenientemente estas
instrucciones. Cédalas en caso de traspasar el
aparato a terceros.

Uso conforme a lo previsto
La sierra de calar está destinada para ser usada
en trabajos de calado fino de madrea y plásticos
en el área de las artesanías caseras (véase fig. F).
Cualquier uso distinto del aparato no se considera
conforme al previsto y puede entrañar riego de
accidentes considerables. El fabricante no se res-
ponsabiliza de los daños derivados por un uso no
conforme al previsto.

J Usted trabajara mejor y de forma más segura

7. Utilice la herramienta eléctrica
adecuada.
J No utilice máquinas con baja potencia para
trabajos pesados.
J No utilice la herramienta eléctrica para apli-
caciones para las que no esté prevista. Por
ejemplo, no utilice una sierra circular de mano
para cortar ramas de árboles o leña.
8. Utilice ropa adecuada.
J No lleve otra ropa o joyas amplias puesto
que podrían ser absorbidas por piezas móviles.
J Para el trabajo al aire libre se recomienda el
uso de calzado antideslizante.
J Si tiene el pelo largo, utilice una redecilla.

J En caso de realizar trabajos que generen
polvo, utilice una mascarilla antipolvo.
10. Conecte el dispositivo de aspiración
de polvo.
J En caso de que existan conexiones para la
aspiración de polvo, asegúrese de que están
conectadas y de que se utilizan correctamente.

No utilice el cable para
aquellos fines para los que
no está previsto.
J No tire del cable para retirar el enchufe de la
toma de corriente. Proteja el cable del calor,
el aceite y los bordes afilados.
12. Sujete la pieza de trabajo.
J Utilice dispositivos de sujeción o un tornillo de
banco para sujetar la pieza de trabajo. Así se
mantendrá más segura que con las manos.
13. Evite posturas no adecuadas.
J Procure estar en una posición segura y man-
tenga el equilibrio en todo momento.
14. Cuide la herramienta.
J Mantenga las herramientas de corte afiladas
y limpias para realizar un trabajo mejor y más
seguro.
J Siga las instrucciones para engrasar y cambiar
la herramienta.
J Controle regularmente el cable de conexión
de la herramienta eléctrica y en caso de estar
dañado debe dejar que un técnico especiali-
zado lo sustituya.
J Compruebe regularmente los cables de pro-
longación y reemplácelos si presentan daños.
J Mantenga el mango seco, limpio y sin aceite
ni grasa.
15. Desenchufe el aparato de la toma de
corriente:
J Cuando no se utilice la herramienta eléctrica,
antes de los trabajos de mantenimiento y al
cambiar la herramienta, p. ej. hoja de sierra,
broca, fresa.
16. No introduzca llaves.
J Antes de conectar deben retirarse todas las
llaves y herramientas de ajuste.
17. Evite que la herramienta se ponga
accidentalmente en funcionamiento.
J Asegúrese de que el interruptor está apagado
al conectar el enchufe en la toma de corriente.
18. Para trabajar en el exterior utilice el
cable alargador.
J En el exterior utilice solamente cables alarga-
dores admitidos para este uso y que cuenten
con la indicación correspondiente.
19. Proceda con sumo cuidado.
J Preste atención a lo que está haciendo. Proce-
da con prudencia en el trabajo. No utilice la
herramienta eléctrica si está desconcentrado.
20. Compruebe que la herramienta
eléctrica no presenta daños.
J Antes de volver a utilizar la herramienta, es in-
dispensable comprobar que los dispositivos
de protección o las piezas ligeramente daña-
das funcionan sin problemas.
J Compruebe que las piezas móviles funcionen
correctamente y no se atasquen, y que no
haya piezas que presenten daños. Todas las
piezas deben estar montadas correctamente y
cumplir todas las condiciones necesarias para
garantizar el correcto funcionamiento de la
herramienta eléctrica.
J Sólo personal de un taller especializado reco-
nocido debe reparar o cambiar las piezas y
los dispositivos de protección dañados, a no
ser que en las instrucciones de uso se indique
de otra manera.
J Los interruptores defectuosos deben ser reem-
plazados por un taller de atención al cliente.
J No utilice ninguna herramienta eléctrica con
un interruptor de conexión y desconexión que
no funcione.
21. ¡ATENCIÓN!
J El uso de otras herramientas de inserción y
de otros accesorios puede significar riesgo de
lesiones.
22. Deje un técnico electricista reparar su
herramienta eléctrica.
J Esta herramienta eléctrica cumple con las dis-
posiciones de seguridad relevantes. Las repa-
raciones deben ser realizadas por un técnico
electricista y deben utilizarse piezas originales;
de otro modo el usuario podría sufrir accidentes.

J Coloque la sierra de calar sobre una superficie
horizontal y lisa.
J No toque el cable de red en caso de desconec-
tarse o sufrir daños durante el funcionamiento.
Extraiga inmediatamente el enchufe de la toma
y a continuación haga reparar el aparato ex-
clusivamente por un técnico o por el punto de
asistencia que le corresponda.
J Mantenga apartado el cable de red siempre
por detrás del aparato.
J En caso de peligro, extraiga inmediatamente
el enchufe de la toma de corriente.
J Acerque la pieza siempre sólo contra la herra-
mienta eléctrica encendida. Si no lo hace, existe
riesgo de retroceso.
J No trabaje materiales humedecidos ni superficies
húmedas.
J Utilice sólo hojas de sierra sin daños y en per-
fecto estado

J Asegúrese de que los dientes de la hoja de la
sierra

en el aparato.
J ¡RIESGO DE LESIONES! Mantenga las ma-
nos apartadas de la zona de corte.
J Compruebe si la pieza a trabajar tiene eventual-
mente clavos, etc. que sobresalen y retírelos.
Éstos pueden causar heridas o daños materiales,
si la sierra entra en contacto con clavos, etc.
J El aparato debe mantenerse siempre limpio,
seco y libre de aceite o grasas lubricantes.
J Desconecte el aparato antes de quitar restos de
madera de la cercanía directa de la hoja de la
sierra. De lo contrario, podrían producirse heri
das.
¡ADVERTENCIA!
¡POLVOS / VAPORES
TÓXICOS! El polvo nocivo / tóxico generado
durante el trabajo supone un riesgo para la
salud de quien maneja el aparato o de las per-
sonas que estén cerca.
J Evite serrar materiales perjudiciales para la
salud.
J No trabaje con material que contenga amianto.
El amianto puede ser cancerígeno.
J Asegúrese de que existe la suficiente ventilación.
J Use gafas de protección, protección
auditiva, mascarilla y guantes de
protección.

Indicaciones de trabajo
J Acerque la pieza lentamente y con mínima
presión hacia la hoja de la sierra.
J Disminuya el avance si corta material más duro.
J Sostenga la pieza fuertemente con ambas ma-
nos en la mesa y desplácela lentamente hacia
la hoja de la sierra. Caso contrario se puede
doblar o quebrar la hoja de la sierra.
J Evite las modificaciones de direcciones filosas
durante el proceso de serrado para así evitar
un giro o rotura de la hoja de la sierra.
J Antes del serrado perfore un orificio en el lu-
gar en donde se producirá una esquina o un
contorno interno y cale desde este punto.
J Utilice la hoja de la sierra correcta. La selección
de la hoja de la sierra depende de la dureza y
del tipo del material y del corte deseado.
Elija una hoja de sierra con dientes finos para
trabajar materiales finos y duros.
Utilice una hoja de sierra angosta para serrar
redondeos filosos.

Puesta en funcionamiento
Tenga en cuenta la tensión de red. La tensión de la
fuente de corriente debe coincidir con las especifi-
caciones de la placa de características del aparato.
Los aparatos indicados para 230 V podrán funcio-
nar también con 220 V.
¡PRECAUCIÓN! Antes de conectar el aparato
al suministro eléctrico, asegúrese de que está des-
conectado.
J Acerque la pieza siempre sólo contra la herra-
mienta eléctrica encendida. Si no lo hace, existe
riesgo de retroceso.
Colocación del aparato:
j Desembale el aparato en el lugar con el adhe-
sivo "Por favor levantar aquí - Please lift here",
para posicionar el aparato.
Conexión del dispositivo:
j Pulse la tecla verde ENC.

positivo. Utilice un paño seco para la limpieza.
j Mantenga las aperturas de aireación libres de
polvo o suciedad.
j No utilice gasolina o disolventes agresivos.
j Guarde el aparato en una habitación seca.

rantía desde la fecha de compra. El apa-
rato ha sido producido con mucho esmero
y comprobado a conciencia antes de la
entrega. Guarde el ticket de caja como
justificante de compra. En caso de garan-
tía póngase en contacto con su asistencia
técnica telefónicamente. Sólo así queda
garantizado un envío gratuito de su mer-
cancía. Esta garantía es válida para el
primer adquirente y no es transferible.
Las prestaciones de garantía son únicamente apli-
cables a fallos de fabricación y de material, sin
embargo ello no engloba a las piezas de desgaste
o daños en partes frágiles tales como el interruptor
o acumuladores. El producto ha sido diseñado úni-
camente para el uso privado y no para el uso

En caso de un tratamiento inadecuado e indebido,

Introduction
Before you use it for the first time, it is es-
sential that you make yourself fully familiar
with the functions of the appliance and
find out how to correctly handle electrically powered
tools. To do this, read the following operating in-
structions carefully. Retain these instructions for
future reference. Additionally, pass them on to who-
ever might acquire the appliance at a future date.

Intended purpose
The scroll saw is intended for the intricate cutting of
wood and plastic in a DIY environment (see Fig. F).
Any other uses, and modifications to the appliance,
are deemed to be improper usage and may result
in serious physical injury. The manufacturer accepts
no responsibility for damage(s) resulting from
improper usage.

Keep them away from your working area.
5. Store currently unused electrical
power tools in a safe place.
J When not being used electrical power tools
should be stored in dry conditions in a high
or enclosed place, out of reach of children.
6. Do not overload your electrical
power tool.
J By keeping within the specified working range
of the tool you will work more safely and
achieve a better result.
7. Use the right electrical power tool for
the task.
J Do not use low-output devices for heavy tasks.
J Do not use an electrical power tool for purposes
for which it was not intended. For example, do
not use a hand operated circular saw for trim-
ming tree branches or cutting logs.
8. Wear suitable clothing.
J Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery.
They could become caught on moving parts.
J We recommend that you wear anti-slip foot-
wear when working outdoors.
J If you have long hair, wear a hair net.

Use personal protective
equipment.
J Wear protective glasses.
J Wear a dust mask if your work generates dust.
10. Attach the vacuum dust extraction
device.

J Where there are connection points provided
for vacuum dust extraction please use them,
and ensure they are working properly.

Do not use the mains lead for
purposes for which it was
not intended.
J Do not use the mains lead to pull the plug out
of the mains socket. Protect the mains lead
from heat, oil and sharp edges.
12. Secure the workpiece.
J Use clamps or a vice to grip the workpiece
firmly. This is much safer than holding it with
your hand.
13. Avoid placing your body in an
unnatural position.
J Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
14. Look after your tools carefully.
J Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. This way
you will work more safely and achieve better
results.
J Follow the advice on tool lubrication and
consumables replacement.
J Check the condition of the mains lead on your
electrical power tool regularly and have any
damage repaired by a competent specialist.
J Check the condition of extension leads regu-
larly and replace them if they are damaged.
J Keep handles and hand grips clean, dry and
free of oil and grease.
15. Pull the mains plug out of the
mains socket.
J Do this if the electrical power tool is not being
used, before carrying out maintenance tasks
on the electrical power tool and whenever
you are changing inserted tools, e.g. saw
blades, drills or router bits.
16. Make sure that no spanners, keys
etc. are left attached.
J Check before switching on that all spanners,
keys and setting tools have been removed.
17. Avoid unintentionally starting
up the device.
J Check that the switch is set to OFF on the de-
vice when the mains plug is inserted into the
mains socket.
18. Using an extension lead for
working outdoors.
J When working outside, always use an approved
and appropriately labelled extension lead.
19. Remain alert.
J Watch what you are doing. Proceed with cau-
tion. Do not use electrical power tools if you
cannot concentrate.
20. Check the electrical power tool
for damage.
J Before the electrical power tool is used, care-
fully check the safety equipment and any
slightly damaged parts to see that they are still
working properly.
J Check that all moving parts on the tool are
working properly, can move freely and are not
damaged. All parts must be correctly attached
and fulfil all the requirements necessary to allow
the electrical power tool to operate properly.
J Damaged safety equipment and components
must be properly repaired or replaced at a com-
petent electrical equipment repair centre unless
otherwise indicated in the operating instructions.
J Damaged switches must be replaced at a
Customer Service Centre.
J Never use an electrical power tool that cannot
be switched on and off properly.
21. ATTENTION!
J The use of inserted tools and accessories other
than those recommended by the manufacturer
could lead to you being injured.
22. Have your electrical power tool
repaired at an electrical equipment
repair specialist.
J This electrical power tool complies with the
relevant safety regulations. Repairs may only
be carried out by a specialist electrical repair
centre using original spare parts, otherwise in-
jury could occur to the user.

horizontal surface.
J Do not touch the mains lead if it becomes dam-
aged or cut through while you are using the

plug immediately out of the mains socket.
J Always switch on the electrical power tool before
moving the workpiece against it. Otherwise
there is the risk of kickback.
J Do not cut moist materials or damp surfaces,

J Before sawing, check the workpiece for foreign
bodies such as nails etc. and remove them. In-
jury and / or damage to property may result from
the saw blade striking nails etc. embedded in
the workpiece.
J Always keep the device clean, dry and free
from oil or grease.
J Switch off the device before you remove any
wood residue from around the saw blade.
Otherwise you could become injured.
WARNING!
HAZARDOUS DUSTS /
VAPOURS! Any noxious dusts or vapours
generated from sawing represent a risk to the
health of the person operating the device and
to anyone near the work area.
J Do not saw materials containing substances
harmful to health.
J Do not use the tool on materials containing
asbestos. Asbestos is a known carcinogen.
J Make sure you have adequate ventilation.
J Wear protective glasses, hearing
protection, dust protection masks
and protective gloves.

Advice on use
J Push the workpiece slowly and with minimum
pressure on to the saw blade.
J Reduce the rate of advance when you are
cutting thicker material.
J Hold the workpiece firmly on the table with
both hands and push it slowly towards the saw
blade. Otherwise the saw blade may twist or
break.
J Avoid making any sharp changes in direction
during sawing to prevent the saw blade from
twisting or tearing.
J Before starting the saw cut, drill a hole at a
corner or internal cut-out in the workpiece and
start sawing from the hole.
J Use the correct saw blade. The choice of saw
blade depends on the thickness and type of
material and the intended cut.
Select a saw blade with fine teeth to saw thin,
hard materials.
Use a narrow saw blade to saw small radius
cuts.

Take note of the mains voltage. The mains voltage
at the mains socket must match that shown on the
rating plate on the device. Devices marked with
230 V can also be operated at 220 V.
CAUTION! Make sure that the device is
switched off before you connect it to the mains supply.
J Always switch on the electrical power tool before
moving the workpiece against it. Otherwise
there is the risk of kickback.
