STARTING/STOPPING
INSTRUCTIONS
These instructions replace the starting and stopping instructions in your operator’s manual
and quick reference guide.
STARTING THE ENGINE
See Figures 1 - 2.
NOTICE:
On a level surface with the engine off,
check the lubricant level before each
use of the generator.
NOTE: If location of generator is not level,
the unit may not start or may shut down
during operation.
Unplug all loads from the generator.
Verify the run switch is in the ON position.
Turn the fuel valve to the ON (I) position.
Turn the on/off switch ON ( l ).
Pull the choke out to the START position.
NOTE: If engine is warm or the
temperature is above 50˚F, push the
choke in to the RUN position.
Press the start button to start the engine.
NOTE: The LCD display must be on for
the engine to be started with the start
button. If the LCD display is off, press
and release the pairing button or toggle
the on/off switch off and on.
NOTE: The battery may require charging
before the generator can be started us-
ing only the start button. Until then, the
generator can be started by pulling the
recoil starter grip. Once the generator
is started, the battery will charge as the
unit runs.

The generator can also be started by
pulling the recoil starting grip until the
engine runs.
NOTE: Do not allow the grip to snap
back after starting; return it gently to
its original place.
Allow the engine to run for 15-30
seconds, then move the choke to the
RUN position.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
See Figure 1.
To stop the engine under normal oper-
ating conditions:
Remove any load from the generator.
Turn the fuel valve to the OFF (O)
position.
Turn the on/off switch OFF ( O ).
To stop the engine in an emergency
situation:
Put either the on/off switch or the run
switch in the OFF (O) position.
WARNING:
While operating and storing, keep at
least 3 feet of clearance on all sides
of this product, including overhead.
Allow a minimum of 30 minutes of
“cool down” time before storage.
Heat created by muffler and exhaust
gases could be hot enough to cause
serious burns and/or ignite combustible
objects.

ARRANQUE DEL MOTOR

AVISO:
Teniendo la unidad en una superficie nivelada y con el motor apagado, revise
el nivel de lubricante cada vez antes de usar el generador.
NOTA: Si el generador no está en una superficie nivelada, es posible que no
arranque o se apague durante su funcionamiento.
Desconecte todas las cargas del generador.
Verificar el interruptor de encendido está en la posición ON (ENCENDIDO).
Ponga la válvula de combustible en la posición encendido [ON (I)].
Ponga el interruptor de encendido/apagado en encendido [ON (I)].
Tire del anegador en la posición ARRANQUE.
NOTA: Si el motor está caliente, o la temperatura es superior a los 10 ˚C (50
˚F), presione el anegador de la posición FUNCIONAMIENTO.
Presione el botón de arranque para encender el motor.
NOTA: La pantalla LCD debe estar encendida para que el motor pueda
encenderse con el botón de arranque. Si la pantalla LCD está apagada,
presione y suelte el botón de sincronización o alterne el botón de encendido/
apagado.
NOTA: Es posible que deba cargarla la batería antes poder arrancar el
generador exclusivamente mediante el botón de arranque. El generador puede
arrancarse tirando del arrancador de reacción. Luego de que el generador
arranque, la batería se cargará mientras la unidad esté en funcionamiento.
El generador también puede arrancar tirando del arrancador de reacción hasta
que el motor entre en funcionamiento.
NOTA: No permita que el mango se retraiga violentamente después de
arrancar; regréselo suavemente a su lugar original.
Permita que el motor funcione 15 a 30 segundos y, después, desplace izquierda
la palanca del anegador en la posición FUNCIONAMIENTO.
APAGADO DEL MOTOR
Vea la figura 1 en el otro lado.
Para apagar el motor en condiciones normales de funcionamiento:
Desconecte del generador toda carga presente.
Ponga la válvula de combustible en la posición APAGADO.
Ponga el interruptor del motor en la posición APAGADO.
Para apagar el motor en una situación de emergencia:
Coloque el interruptor de encendido/apagado o el interruptor de encendido
a la posición OFF (APAGADO).
ADVERTENCIA:
Tanto en funcionamiento como al guardarlo, mantenga siempre 91,4 cm
(3 pies) de espacio libre en todos los laterales de este producto, incluida la
parte superior. Aguarde al menos 30 minutos para el equipo se enfríe antes
de guardarlo. El calor generado por el silenciador y los gases de escape
podría ser suficiente para causar quemaduras graves y/o prender fuego a
objetos combustibles.
