20 - Check damaged parts
- Before further use of tool, it should be carefully
checked to determine that it will operate properly
and perform its intended function.
- Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of
moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any
other conditions that may affect its operation.
- A guard or other part that is damaged should be
properly repaired or replaced by an authorized
service centre unless otherwise indicated in this
instruction manual.
- Have defective switches replaced by an authorized
service centre.
- Do not use the tool if the switch does not turn it on
and off.
21 - Warning
- The use of any accessory or attachment other than
one recommended in this instruction manual may
present a risk of personal injury.
22 - Have your tool repaired by a qualied person
- This electric tool complies with the relevant
safety rules. Repairs should only be carried out
by qualied persons using original spare parts,
otherwise this may result in considerable danger to
the user.
23 - If the replacement of the supply cord is necessary,
this has to be done by the manufacturer or his agent
in order to avoid a safety hazard.
24 - For tools intended to be connected to a water
supply:
– For tools provided with a PRCD: Never use the tool
without the PRCD delivered with the tool,
– For tools provided with an isolating transformer:
Never use the tool without the transformer delivered
with the tool or of the type as specied in these
instructions,
– Replacement of the plug or the supply cord shall
always be carried out by the manufacturer of the
tool or his service organization,Keep water clear
off the electrical parts of the tool and away from
persons in the working area.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY POINTS FOR
YOUR DRILL PRESS
VOLTAGE
Before operating the drill press, check that the voltage
given on the nameplate of the drill press is the same
as the mains supply voltage. The main voltage should
never be more than 10% above 230~240 volts.
MOTOR
The motor must be well ventilated during operation
therefore ventilation holes must always be kept clean
and free form obstruction.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The drill press is belt adjustable 5-speed drill. Its
robust format makes it versatile for applications such
as drilling wood, plastic and metal. It has a vertical
adjustable worktable to allow for large or small work
piece. When coupled with optional work vice it is
suitable for drilling accurate depth holes. It complies

SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Do not operate this tool until it is assembled and
installed according to the instructions.
2. Obtain advice from your supervisor, instructor, or
another qualied person if you are not familiar with
the operation of this tool.
3. Follow all wiring codes and recommended electrical
connections.
4. Never start the machine before clearing the table of all
objects (tools, scrap pieces, etc.).
5. Never start the machine with the drill bit, cutting tool,
or sander against the workpiece.
6. Tighten all lock handles before starting the machine.
7. Use only drill bits, cutting tools, sanding drums,
or other accessories that have shanks of 1/2” in
diameter or less.
8. Use only drill bits, cutting tools, or sanding drums
that are not damaged.
9. Properly lock drill bit, cutting tool, or sanding drum in
the chuck before operating this machine.
10. Use recommended speeds for all operations.
11. Avoid awkward operations and hand positions where
a sudden slip could cause a hand to move into the
cutting tool.
12. Keep arms, hands, and ngers away from the cutting
tool.
13. Hold the workpiece rmly against the table. Do not
attempt to drill a workpiece that does not have a at
surface against the table. Prevent the workpiece from
rotating by clamping it to the table or by securing it
against the drill press column.
