Firmware Update Instructions

Updating the firmware on your PMD-706 requires a computer with a valid internet connection

to download the firmware update file and an SD card to transfer the firmware update to your

PMD-706.

1. Visit marantzpro.com and find the product page for PMD-706 to download the firmware

file.

2. Transfer the firmware update file (PMD706update.bin) to the root directory (not in any

folder) of a FAT32 formatted SD card.

3. Insert the SD card with the firmware update file into the SD Card Slot on your PMD-706.

4. Power on PMD-706.

5. The display on your PMD-706 will show two rectangles while the firmware is being

updated.

6. Once the firmware update has finished, the display on your PMD-706 will change to show

the home screen.

7. Reboot your PMD-706 by turning it off and then back on to complete the firmware update

process.
