INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE study these instructions carefully before beginning this installation. Most installations can be accomplished with common
tools and procedures. However, you should be familiar with and comfortable working on your vehicle. If you do not feel comfortable
performing this installation, it is recommended to have the installation completed by a qualified mechanic. If you have any questions,

IMPORTANT NOTE: Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. Improper installation may
result in poor performance and engine or vehicle damage.
DESCRIPTION: These Top End Gasket Sets are for 1938-48 and 1949-53 Ford Flatheads. Sets includes one intake manifold gasket.
Use PN 7383 for 1949-53 Ford Flat Heads and PN 7384 for 1938-48 Ford Flat Heads.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE - Before installing, make sure to thoroughly clean all mating surfaces prior to installation. When installing
the intake manifold gasket, we recommend applying Edelbrock Gasgacinch, P/N 9300, to the block’s mating surface. Allow Gasgacinch
to air dry before attaching the intake manifold gasket. This will help hold the gasket in place when installing the manifold. Torque
manifold to manufacturer’s specifications using the torque sequence in Figure 1. Torque values are only for Edelbrock manifolds.

Torque intake manifold bolts to 20-25 ft./lbs.
NOTE: Figure 2 represents a 1938-48 manifold. 1949-53 manifolds are
similar, but will have one less bolt.
