vehicle's Original Equipment Manufacturers Body Builders Layout Book (or equivalent document).
Prior to installaon, inspect the vehicle to ensure that installaon will not interfere with, or cause obstrucon of, any crical
components such as electrical wiring, fuel tanks, fuel-cells, locks, latches, etc.
The installer or manufacturer is responsible for ensuring anchorages are installed onto suitable wall and oor structures; wall
and oor strength must meet applicable performance requirements.
Do not install systems into any weak or unsound materials such as plascs, woods, thin-walled metals, etc. without proper
reinforcement.
Do not install this product where it could interfere with the deployment of airbags. Failure to comply could result in death or
serious injury.
Do not install this product where it could ingress on the Transit Occupant Protecon Zone. Failure to comply could result in
death or serious injury.
Incorrect installaon could cause water leaks, electric shock or re.
Any cargo vehicle with any cargo or equipment should use a cered paron. See Ranger Design website for some paron

Mounngs rails are recommended for any aachment to the vehicle walls.
All items in the cargo area should be properly secured and paron doors closed while the vehicle is in moon.
Check your vehicle’s tare weight and remaining load capacity with all the equipment installed. Never exceed the maximum
Gross Vehicle Weight Rang (GVWR), Gross Axle Weight Rangs (GAWRs), or other maximum loads permied by the vehicle's
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and required by law.
The heaviest items must be placed towards the bottom of the vehicle, while the lightest ones can be arranged u p w a r d s .

customer or for general use. These instrucons should remain with the vehicles a all mes.
Any modicaon or unintended use of this product voids any warranty and could create a hazardous condion.
Ranger Design provides recommended assembly and installaon instrucons which should be followed to ensure
correct operaon. Failure to do so could result in invalidang the product’s compliance, warranty and cause injury.
Notwithstanding, the nal stage vehicle alterer and/or modier is responsible for the integraon, installaon, and
compliance of the product in its nal locaon to all applicable regulaons and standards. Failure to maintain compliance
of the vehicle to applicable regulaons and standards could be punishable by law. Alterers and/or modiers should consult
with all local authories prior to commissioning.
Drilling is required to complete this installaon. Before drilling, ensure that you will not hit any crical parts of the vehicle
like the gas tank, wiring harness, or hose. Consult the vehicle OEM documentaon as necessary. When drilling, use a drill
collar to reduce the risk of damage to the vehicle.
Any materials, padding, or glazing installed in the vehicle must comply with FMVSS/CMVSS 201/205/302, as applicable.
In the event of a motor vehicle accident or collision where a Ranger system has been installed, especially ones where the
vehicle structure is damaged and/or the air bags deploy and/or the vehicle has been towed, the system must be inspected
to ensure connued soundness and safety before returning the vehicle to service. Damaged components should be
replaced as necessary.
All system components should be regularly inspected, cleaned, and maintained pursuant to Ranger guidelines.

PHASE 2 – INSTALLATION

Optimum adjustment & setup Guide
The Access Stow setup is inuenced and effected by the following physical factors:
1. Ladder weight
2. Ladder Height
3. Quantity of ladder ( i.e 1 or 2 ladders, if applicable )
To provide optimum performance of your ladder lift assistance & drop down, there is
a degree of adjustment to aid the weight & length of your ladder type.
These two form of adjustment are provided by:
1. The gas ram 'gas spring' hole position.
2. The centre Access Stow extrusion drop height.
ACCESS STOW SETUP
There are 5 different settings to suit the
weight on the system.
! Please refer to the picture (F4 & F5) to aid the optimum setting and
safe ladder weight and sizes which can be accommodated.
