Playing video games can make your muscles, joints, skin or eyes hurt. Follow these instructions to
avoid problems such as tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, skin irritation or eyestrain:

•Takea10to15minutebreakeveryhour,evenifyoudon’tthinkyouneedit.

as tingling, numbness, burning or stiffness, stop and rest for several hours before playing again.
•Ifyoucontinuetohaveanyoftheabovesymptomsorotherdiscomfortduringorafterplay,stop
playing and see a doctor.
Playing video games can cause motion sickness in some players. If you or your child feel dizzy
or nauseous when playing video games, stop playing and rest. Do not drive or engage in other

Use the Communicator to guide your way through the
complex network of streets in LEGO City. Press and hold your
finger on the Wii U GamePad controller screen to scroll the
map to view other areas you might not have fully explored.
satellite NaVigatioN (sat NaV)
Press and hold a location on the map to create a route that will
lead you to that location. Follow the on-screen green arrow or
the Green Studs that appears on the road.
Note: Green Studs will only appear when in a vehicle.
ViDeo calls
Chase must rely on his colleagues and contacts if he’s going to
safely navigate his way through LEGO City. When flashes
on the GamePad screen, press the icon to see and hear what
your colleagues and contacts have to tell you.
scaN Feature
Once upgraded, the Communicator will allow you to scan
LEGO City for criminals, hidden secrets and rare LEGO bricks.
You can scan your present location in all directions to locate
hidden items. Once located, you can store the last scanned
item on your map by pressing and holding the A Button.
auDio scaN
Keep an eye out for the special Audio Scan hotspots
throughout LEGO City. Once found, press on the GamePad
touch screen to locate nearby activities.
caMera
Press and hold the R Button on the Wii U GamePad to activate
the camera feature. The camera feature allows you to capture and save photographs of your favorite
gameplay moments.
For more information, press the HOME Button while the game is running, then select to view the
electronic manual.
