Incorporated into the PANTHER
HD driv er are proprietary circuits
that minimize rip ple current while
maintaining a 20 kHz chopping
rate. This prevents ad di tion al mo-
tor heat ing that is common with
driv ers re quir ing higher chopping
rates. Now low inductance stepper
motors can be used to improve high
speed per for mance and system
ef cien cy.
The PANTHER HD allows you to
change the number of microsteps
per step at any time. There is no
need to reset the driver. Built into
the driver are 14 different res o lu -
tions in both binary and decimal, al-
lowing the user to rapidly move long
distances, yet precisely po si tion the
motor at the end of travel without
the ex pense of high per for mance
controllers.
For many low and medium power
applications, the PANTHER HD pro-
vides a low cost, compact solution
along with in no va tive features found
only in IMS drivers.
DESCRIPTION
The PANTHER HD is a high per for -
mance, low cost microstepping driv-
er with in te gral power supply that in-
cor po rates ad vanced sur face mount
and ASIC tech nol o gy. The PANTHER
HD is small, easy to in ter face and
use, yet powerful enough to handle
the most de mand ing applications.
The heart of the PANTHER HD is
our IM1007 OEM microstepping
driv er which utilizes our highly in-
te grat ed IM2000 microstepping
con trol ler IC.
