Assemble wire harness
Description
This wire harness addition applies to GT Classic
tractor models 73428 and 73448, Serial # 8900001
and up. It is applicable to a situation where engine
cut out is experienced, due to body weight shift on
the seat, when the clutch/brake is applied.
Installation
1. Shut off all power from the tractor and remove
the ignition key. Set the park brake.
2. Remove the seat and rear fender to access the
shift lever neutral switch and tractor wiring
harness connections.
3. Remove the shift plate and belt cover on the
right hand side to access the interlock switch
mounting hole.
4. Install the interlock switch, with the terminals
facing down, in the rectangular hole in the right
hand side of the hoodstand (Fig. 1).

5. Route the switch end of the kit wiring harness
forward, above the transmission housing and
under the seat support to the interlock switch
(Fig.2).

6. Connect the terminals from the wiring harness to
the interlock switch.
7. Disconnect the terminal from the shift lever
neutral switch lead and tractor wiring harness
and connect each to the mating connection on
the kit wiring harness (Fig. 2).

8. Reinstall the belt cover, shift plate, rear fender
and seat.
