SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

• Don’t try to operate this device without reading the instructions.

• Make sure to familiarize yourself with the appliance before using it.

• Before using this appliance, check all the parts to make sure they function properly, and make sure no components

have been damaged.

• Always inspect the cord and other parts of this unit for signs of damage before attempting to plug it in. If the power

cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Ivation Customer Service or a qualiﬁed service technician.

• Always place this air conditioner on a ﬂat, level surface.

• Never use or store gasoline or any other products that contain or produce ﬂammable liquid/vapor near this appliance.

• Always maintain a clearance of 10 (25 cm) around the portable air conditioning unit. Do not block or cover the air

inlet or outlet grilles.

• Always make sure the air conditioner is connected to a correctly grounded power supply or outlet. Do not use an

adapter plug or an extension cord.

• Never attempt to power this air conditioner on or o by plugging it in or unplugging it. Always use the POWER

button or the TIMER function to turn this unit on or o.

• Never use this unit in an area subject to excessive moisture or humidity, or in the immediate surroundings of a bath,

shower, swimming pool, or similar bodies of water, as this presents an electrical shock and/or ﬁre hazard.

• Do not insert anything into the air outlet or obstruct the air inlet or outlet grilles.

• Do not allow children to play on or around this unit, as it could result in an electrical shock hazard or other injuries.

• Before cleaning the unit, make sure it is fully powered o, and then unplug the power cord. Do not attempt to clean

the unit while it is powered on and/or plugged in.

• Never mix old and new batteries or dierent brands of batteries in the remote control.

• Always inspect the batteries in the remote control for damage, tears, or any signs of bulging/swelling before use.

If the batteries show any signs of damage, remove them and dispose of them immediately before replacing with

new batteries.

NOTICE REGARDING POWER CORD AND PLUG

This air conditioner is equipped with an LCDI (Leakage Current Detection and Interruption) power cord and plug as

required by US National Electric Code 440.65. This cord consists of a length of shielded ﬂexible cord with no

termination on the load side and an LCDI attachment plug on the line side.

The LCDI power cord and plug will disconnect the power supply at the source via an electrical disconnect (circuit trip)

if the nominal current leakage between the cord shield and either load conductor exceeds a predetermined value.

The cord will remain disconnected and the unit will not work until the unit has been manually reset. This is intended

to reduce the risk of a ﬁre in the power cord or any combustible materials that might be nearby. The cord shields are

not grounded and they must be considered a shock hazard if they are exposed. The cord shield must not be

connected to the ground wire or to any exposed metal.

WARNING:

1. DO NOT press the TEST button while the air conditioner is in operation.

2. DO NOT use the TEST and RESET buttons as “ON” and “OFF” switches.

3. The cord and plug are not intended to oer protection to externally connected loads or supply circuits.

4. The cord and plug are intended for indoor use only.

The test and reset buttons on the LCDI plug are used to ensure the plug is functioning properly. To test the plug using

the buttons, follow these instructions:

1. Plug the power cord into the wall outlet. The LED light on the plug should light up.

2. Press the TEST button. At this point, the circuit should trip, cutting power to the air conditioner. When this occurs,

the LED light will turn o.

3. Press the RESET button to restore power to the unit. Once power has been restored properly, the LED light will

light back up.

If you press the TEST button, and the LED light does not turn o, or the air conditioner can still be powered on,

current leakage has been detected. Do not use the air conditioner or attempt to reset the LCDI plug in these

circumstances. Contact Ivation® Customer Care immediately for troubleshooting and repair recommendations.

WINDOW KIT

WINDOW KIT ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

When this portable air conditioner runs in air conditioning mode, it needs to draw in air from indoors and exhaust the

hot air outdoors. You need to install the Window Kit (if you will be using this unit in air conditioning mode or

dehumidiﬁcation mode. While the unit is in Fan Mode, no outdoor air exchange takes place; thus, the window kit and

exhaust hose are not required if the unit is just being used as a fan.

The supplied window kit can be installed in sliding windows and sliding glass doors up to 7" (2.13 m) long. When

installing the window kit, make sure to keep the exhaust hose as short and straight as possible for maximum eciency.

Assembling the Window Kit

You will need:

• Window Kit Panels (14)

• Wing Nut (15)

1. Loosen the wing nut from the wing nut base,

and screw it into either of the small holes found

on the window kit panel labeled A.

3. Place the notch on Panel B over the wing

nut base on Panel A.

2. Tighten the wing nut onto the wing

nut base, but NOT all the way. Make

sure it remains somewhat loose.

4. Adjust the width of the connected panels so

that the panel assembly ﬁts snugly into your

window.

INSTALLING THE WINDOW KIT

The window venting kit must be installed in order for your portable air conditioner to function properly. It has been

designed to ﬁt into most vertical and horizontal window openings, as well as sliding glass doors up to seven feet long.

NOTE: Make sure you have fully assembled the window kit before installing it.

1. Open the window or door and adjust the

length of the window kit panels (14)

to ﬁt the opening. If necessary, mark the

kit and cut one end down to properly ﬁt

the opening.

NOTE: The window panel with the opening

for the exhaust hose has two dierent holes

for the wing nut fastener to accommodate

a variety of window sizes.

2. Screw the exhaust hose

connector (11) onto the

exhaust hose (10)

as shown.

4. Attach the exhaust hose (10) to

the window kit adapter (12),

and then attach the adapter to

the window kit panel (14).

If you choose to use the optional

window kit adapter extension (13),

attach one end to the window kit

adapter, and then attach the other

end of the adapter extension to

the window kit panel. Close the

door or window tightly.

end of the exhaust

over the discharge

it as short and straight as possible.

5. Complete the assembly by tightening the wing nut all the

way down.

OPTIONAL SECURITY BRACKET INSTALLATION

CONTROL PANEL OVERVIEW

Your window kit also includes an optional security bracket that can be installed to prevent the window from being

opened from the outside while the window kit is in place.

To install the security bracket, fasten it to the window with a type B screw as shown, depending on the type of window.

1. POWER: Press the POWER button once to manually turn the portable air conditioner on. Press it again to turn

the unit o.

2. MODE: Press the MODE button to cycle through the dierent mode options. The corresponding indicator LEDs

will then light up on the control panel. The available modes are as follows: Air Conditioning mode (COOL), Fan

Only mode (FAN), Dehumidiﬁer mode (DRY), Sleep mode (SLEEP), and Auto mode (AUTO).

NOTE: The exhaust hose and window kit must be installed in order to use the unit in air conditioner, dehumidiﬁer,

auto, and sleep modes. When using this device in fan-only mode, however, the window kit is not required.

3. TEMP: Set your desired temperature by pressing the + or – buttons while the unit is in air conditioning mode.

The temperature indicator LED will ﬂash the temperature while it is being adjusted, and then steadily display the

temperature at which it is set until you change it.

NOTE: The temperature will be displayed in degrees Fahrenheit. To switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, press

and hold the + and – buttons for three (3) seconds while the unit is plugged in but not powered on.

4. FAN SPEED: Press the FAN SPEED button to cycle between the three fan speeds: high, medium, or low. The

corresponding indicator LEDs will light up.

NOTE: When the unit is in dehumidiﬁer mode, the fan speed cannot be changed; when Turbo Cool mode is activated,

the fan speed will automatically be set on high and cannot be changed during that time.

5. TIMER: Press the TIMER button while the unit is powered on to set a time until it automatically turns o. Pressing

it while the unit is plugged in but powered o will set a time until it automatically turns on. Use the + and – buttons

to set the duration of the timer in hours (from 1-24).

6. TURBO COOL: Press the TURBO COOL button to set the air conditioner to cool at a temperature setting of

61°F (16.1°C) with the fan on high for ten (10) minutes and then return to the original settings. Fan speed is not

adjustable in this mode.

7. BUCKET FULL: When this air conditioner cannot evaporate the collected moisture fast enough, the excess

water collects in a backup water tank located inside the unit. This water tank will need to be manually emptied

periodically. When the water tank is full and needs to be emptied, the BUCKET FULL indicator will light up.

8. LOUVER GUIDES: (On top of the unit by the control panel.) This unit has 2-way directional louvers. Use these

guides manually to direct air up or down.

the unit o.

auto, and sleep modes. When using this device in fan-only mode, however, the window kit is not required.

3. FAN SPEED: Press the FAN HIGH, FAN MED, or FAN LOW buttons to choose your desired fan speed.

NOTE: When the unit is in dehumidiﬁer mode, the fan speed cannot be changed; when Turbo Cool mode is

activated, the fan speed will automatically be set on high and cannot be changed during that time.

4. TEMP: Set your desired temperature by pressing the  or  buttons while the unit is in air conditioning mode.

The temperature readout on the LCD display of the remote will increase or decrease accordingly.

NOTE: The temperature will be displayed in degrees Fahrenheit. To switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, press

the °C/°F button.

5. SLEEP MODE: To put the air conditioner into sleep mode, press the SLEEP button on the remote control while

the unit is in air conditioning mode. The SLEEP icon will appear on the remote LCD screen. While in sleep mode,

the fan will run on LOW to keep noise at a minimum, and the set temperature will gradually increase to 2°F above

the temperature you originally set during the ﬁrst two hours. After two hours, the unit will then continue to

operate at the same temperature until sleep mode is deactivated by pressing the SLEEP button again.

6. TIMER: Press the TIMER button while the unit is powered on to set a time until it automatically turns o. Pressing

it while the unit is plugged in but powered o will set a time until it automatically turns on. The hour indicator on

the LCD screen will turn on. Use the  and  buttons to set the duration of the timer in hours (from 1-24). To

cancel the timer, press the TIMER button and hold it until the timer icon at the bottom of the LCD screen turns o.

7. TURBO COOL: Press the TURBO COOL button to set the air conditioner to cool at a temperature setting of 61°F

(16.1°C) with the fan on high for ten (10) minutes and then return to the original settings. Fan speed is not

adjustable in this mode.

NOTE: If the unit has been in fan mode for less than three (3) minutes and you attempt to switch it to Turbo Cool, it

will cause a compressor protection shutdown, and you will need to wait three minutes for the compressor to come

back on.

8. MY TEMP: Press the MY TEMP button to switch the thermostat sensor from the static location in the air

conditioning unit to the location of the remote control. The air conditioner will then cool according to the

temperature at the remote control’s location. (This is helpful in larger/oddly shaped rooms.)

9. CHILD LOCK: Press this button to lock the remote control buttons. Press it again to unlock the buttons.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Air Conditioning Mode

1. Install the exhaust hose and window kit properly. (See pages 5–6)

NOTE: This step is required in order for the air conditioner to function.

2. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.

3. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.

4. Press the MODE button until the air conditioner mode indicator (COOL) lights up on the control panel display or

the remote LCD screen.

5. Press the + or – buttons ( and  on the remote) until your desired room temperature appears on the display.

This unit’s temperature range is from 61°F – 88°F.

6. Set the desired fan speed by pressing the FAN SPEED button on the control panel to cycle between speed

options, or by pressing the FAN HIGH/FAN MED/FAN LOW buttons on the remote control.

NOTE: On hot days, the most ecient way to cool a room will be to set the temperature on the lowest setting and

the fan speed on high. Reducing the length of the exhaust duct, insulating the exhaust hose and window kit, and

keeping direct sunlight in the room to a minimum will also improve cooling eciency.

Dehumidiﬁer Mode

IMPORTANT: This unit will not perform in dehumidiﬁer mode when the room temperature is below 50°F (10°C).

1. Install the exhaust hose and window kit properly. (See pages 5–6)

NOTE: This step is required in order for the air conditioner to function.

2. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.

3. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.

4. Press the MODE button until the dehumidiﬁer mode indicator (DRY) lights up on the control panel display or

the remote LCD screen.

5. The temperature display will display the temperature of the room.

NOTE: The unit operates at a default fan speed setting of LOW while in dehumidiﬁer mode. A slight cooling of the

room during the dehumidifying process is normal and expected. To aid the eectiveness of the process, keep

doors and windows closed while the unit is removing moisture from the room.

Auto Mode

This mode will cause the unit to automatically activate air conditioning mode whenever the room

temperature rises above 72°F (22.2°C), and switch to fan mode once the room temperature drops

below 72°F.

1. Install the exhaust hose and window kit properly. (See pages 5–6)

NOTE: This step is required in order for the air conditioner to function.

2. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.

3. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.

4. Press the MODE button until the auto mode indicator (AUTO) lights up on the control panel display or the remote

LCD screen.

Sleep Mode

In sleep mode, the fan will run on LOW to keep noise at a minimum, and the set temperature will gradually

increase to 2°F above the temperature you originally set during the ﬁrst two hours. After two hours, the

unit will then continue to operate at the same temperature until sleep mode is deactivated by pressing

the SLEEP button again.

1. Install the exhaust hose and window kit properly. (See pages 5–6)

NOTE: This step is required in order for the air conditioner to function.

2. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.

3. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.

4. Press the MODE button until the sleep mode indicator (SLEEP) lights up on the control panel display or the

remote LCD screen.

Fan Mode

NOTE: It is not necessary for the exhaust hose and window kit to be installed to operate this unit in fan mode.

1. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.

2. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.

3. Press the MODE button until the fan mode indicator (FAN) lights up on the control panel display or the remote

LCD screen.

4. Set the desired fan speed by pressing the FAN SPEED button on the control panel to cycle between speed

options, or by pressing the FAN HIGH/FAN MED/FAN LOW buttons on the remote control.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Internal Water Tank

When the room temperature is low and the indoor humidity is high, the air conditioner may not be able to evaporate

all of the moisture in the air fast enough. When this happens, the water will accumulate in an internal water tank inside

the unit. The internal water tank holds approximately 1.5 liters of water; when it becomes full, the air conditioner will

automatically shut down and the Bucket Full indicator light will be illuminated. The air conditioner will resume normal

operation once the Internal Water Tank is emptied.

There are two methods of draining the internal water tank: continuous drainage (requires a garden hose and a ﬂoor

drain), or manually emptying the tank. Both methods are explained in this section.

How to Set Up Continuous Drainage (Optional)

Please note that continuous drainage will only work in rooms with/in close proximity to a drain built into the ﬂoor.

IMPORTANT: It is not advised to use continuous drainage when the room temperature is higher than 90°F (32.2°C)

1. Place the air conditioner on a ﬂat, level surface.

2. Remove the cap on the continuous drain port (6) on the back of the unit.

3. Thread a garden hose (not included) onto the now-accessible continuous drain port.

4. Lead the garden hose to a ﬂoor drain and cut o the excess hose length.

5. Make sure there are no kinks or knots in the garden hose as shown below.

6. When you turn the air conditioner on, gravity will help drain the water from the internal water tank down into the

hose, and exit via the ﬂoor drain. This process will occur automatically.

How to Manually Drain the Internal Water Tank

You will need a small pan (approximately 1 (2.54 cm) high) to catch

the water coming out of the water tank. Once the water tank has been

emptied, your air conditioner will resume normal operation within a

few minutes.

1. Do not move the unit when the water container is full, as the water

will spill out.

2. Place a small pan under the condensation drain hole (9) on the

bottom side of the unit.

3. Once the pan is in place, remove the drain plug from the

condensation drain hole. The accumulated water will drain out

into the pan. You may also insert the included optional drain

tube (16) to facilitate the draining process.

4. When the drain pan is full, insert the drain plug back into the

condensation drain hole to stop the draining process.

5. Empty the drain pan into an appropriate location such as a sink,

bathtub, etc.

6. Repeat steps 2-5 until all water has been emptied from the

internal water tank.

7. Firmly press the drain plug back into the condensation drain

hole as shown.

If using the optional drain tube, ﬁrmly plug

in the drain stopper (17) once the internal

water tank has been emptied.

Cleaning or Replacing the Filter

If the air ﬁlter is blocked with dust, the airﬂow volume will be reduced. We recommend cleaning the ﬁlter once every

two weeks, or more frequently if you notice a reduction in air ﬂow.

1. Remove the ﬁlter from the ﬁlter compartment (5) on the back of the unit.

2. Wash the air ﬁlter by immersing it gently in warm water with a neutral detergent. Rinse the ﬁlter and allow it to

dry thoroughly away from direct sunlight.

3. Slide the ﬁlter back into the ﬁlter compartment once it has dried completely.

WARNING: Do not attempt to return the ﬁlter to the ﬁlter compartment before it has completely dried, as this

may cause damage to the air conditioner or create the risk of electrical shock or ﬁre.

Cleaning the Unit Housing

1. Make sure to keep your portable air conditioner out of direct sunlight to prevent the color from fading.

2. Clean the surface of the unit with a damp cloth and neutral detergent, then dry it with a soft towel.

Preparing for Long-Term Storage or Transport

1. Empty any excess water by unplugging the drain plug in the back of the unit as described on page 11.

2. Unplug the unit.

3. Store or transport the unit in a cool, dry place.

• Cooling capacity is measured at an ambient temperature of DB 95°F, WB 83°F.

• Noise level is measured at a distance of 3.28" (1m) away from the front of the portable air conditioner, while it is

in cooling mode.

• Power consumption is measured when the fan is running at the highest speed setting.

• These speciﬁcations are for reference only. For the actual data on your unit, please refer to the rating label on the

back of your portable air conditioner.

• If the operating environment is higher than the max operating temperature (88°F (31.1°C)), or lower than the

minimum operating temperature (61°F (16.1°C)), the unit may not work as intended.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH

VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

WE WARRANT THAT DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, THE PRODUCT WILL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS IN MATERI-

ALS AND WORKMANSHIP.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE EXTENT NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRAN-

WHO MAY USE THIS WARRANTY? C&A Marketing, Inc. located at 114 Tived Lane East, Edison, NJ (“we”) extend this

limited warranty only to the consumer who originally purchased the product (“you”). It does not extend to any subse-

quent owner or other transferee of the product.

WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY COVER? This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of the

Ivation portable air conditioner (the “product”) for the Warranty Period as deﬁned below.

WHAT DOES THIS WARRANTY NOT COVER? This limited warranty does not cover any damage due to: (a) transporta-

tion; (b) storage; (c) improper use; (d) failure to follow the product instructions or to perform any preventive mainte-

nance; (e) modiﬁcations; (f) unauthorized repair; (g) normal wear and tear; or (h) external causes such as accidents,

abuse, or other actions or events beyond our reasonable control.

WHAT IS THE PERIOD OF COVERAGE? This limited warranty starts on the date of your purchase and lasts for one year

(the “Warranty Period”). The Warranty Period is not extended if we repair or replace the product. We may change the

availability of this limited warranty at our discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive.

WHAT ARE YOUR REMEDIES UNDER THIS WARRANTY? With respect to any defective product during the Warranty

Period, we will, at our sole discretion, either: (a) repair or replace such product (or the defective part) free of charge or

(b) refund the purchase price of such product if an exchange unit cannot be provided.

HOW DO YOU OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE? To obtain warranty service, you must contact us at 1-866-849-3049 or

by email at info@myivation.com during the Warranty Period to obtain a Defective Merchandise Authorization (“DMA”)

number. No warranty service will be provided without a DMA number and return shipping costs to our facilities shall be

assumed by you, the purchaser. Shipping costs of the replacement unit to you shall be assumed by us.
