Polystyrene Mouldings Installation Guide
Important:
Wear safety mask and goggles when cutting polystyrene
mouldings.
Store moulding and adhesive in room temperature for at
least 48 hours in order to avoid expansion or contraction.
Polystyrene mouldings can be glued, nailed or both.
Tools:
Measuring tape Fine tooth saw Mitre saw Pencil Safety
goggles Safety mask Hammer or finishing nailer Putty knife
Caulking gun
Installation Instructions:
Prepare the wall: Prior to installing mouldings ensure walls are
clean, flat, dry, and free of grease or dust.
Cut the panels: Cut quickly to avoid melting and achieving a
clean cut. A blade with 60 teeth or more is recommended. Cut ¼”
longer when filling a gap.
If gluing the panels:
Apply a continuous ¼” bead of heavy duty construction
adhesive along the back grooves or edges of the base
moulding.
