WINDOWS “HOW TO” Installation Instructions
1. Inspect opening for correct size, maximum gap between window and opening should be ¼”.
2. Opening needs to be free of debris.
3. Apply caulk to back of flange all around the window.
4. Insert window into opening.
5. Apply pressure evenly until caulk is compressed.
6. Drill one installation screw at top of window (head) not tight.
7. Check for plumb and levelness.
8. Loosen screw to adjust as necessary.
9. Install the rest at sill then jambs (sides).
10. Re-check for plumb, levelness and operation of window.
11. Seal all screw heads.
12. Apply a second bead of caulk around perimeter.
13. Unit should be tested for water infiltration. (see factory installation for recommended method)
NOTE: Make sure Installation complies with Product Approval and your specific Design Load requirement. It is
recommended that you contact an experienced installer for proper installation. Please check Product Approval for
number and spacing of fasteners as well as glass type according to your specific design pressure requirements.
OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE SUGGESTIONS
It is recommended that you visually inspect your windows every 6 months for signs of water infiltration. All exterior
weatherproofing and perimeter caulk should be examined. At the FIRST sign of water infiltration you should contact
your dealer or window repairman to prevent further damage.
NOTE ON GLASS GLAZING
Glass has prevalent characteristics such as bubbles, slight discolorations, blurs, and hairline scratches. These are to
be expected, as they are inherent qualities that meet or exceed federal specifications DD-G-451D.
